3 Days in Cairo

Day 1: 3 Days in Cairo Break Begins

As is always the case when you travel with us, one of our tour representatives and one of our drivers will meet you at the airport when you arrive in Egypt for your 3 Days in Cairo tour package, and then they will drive you to the hotel where you will be staying for the next two nights. Our tour representative will assist with check-in and then confirm a pick-up time for the following day’s tour. After this, enjoy a free Welcome Drink, and spend the remainder of the day as you wish.

Day 2: Private Cairo Monuments Tour

Begin your day with a good hotel breakfast, and then at the agreed time, your Egyptologist tour guide and one of our drivers will pick you up from your hotel, and you will soon discover that when you book a good quality Cairo itinerary, 3 days is ample time for you to have a fantastic sightseeing experience.

Today will begin with a trip to the ancient Giza necropolis to view Egypt’s most famous monuments, the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Our 3 Days in Cairo itinerary doesn’t include entry to one any of the pyramids, but if you want to actually venture into one of the pyramids, a ticket can be purchased at the site.

After you have finished at the necropolis, you will be taken for some lunch at a good local restaurant, after which your sightseeing will continue. Your first stop after lunch will be at the Egyptian Museum where you will be able to see thousands of ancient artifacts, including all those which were recovered from the tomb of King Tutankhamen. These are now on permanent display in what is called the Treasures Room.

The museum also has a number of mummies on display in a special Mummies Room, but entry to this room requires a separate ticket. In an effort not to offend anyone, we do not include a Mummies Room ticket in our 3 Days in Cairo package, but a ticket can be purchased at the museum.

Next, you will be taken to see the historical Ben Ezra synagogue and the famous Hanging Church of Cairo before finally heading to the 14th-century Khan el Khalili Bazaar. This bazaar is always a big hit with tourists, and for good reason, even if you don’t intend buying anything.

Once you have seen enough of the bazaar, you will be driven back to your hotel and then you will be free to spend the rest of the afternoon as you wish.

Day 3: End of Your 3 Day Cairo Itinerary

Your 3 Days in Cairo package ends today, so at the appropriate time, our tour representative and a driver will collect you from your hotel and take you to the airport in time for your flight. If you won’t be leaving Egypt at this point, we can also drop you off at the train station or elsewhere in the city.
