6-Day Turkey Itinerary – Istanbul and Cappadocia
DAY 1 – Arrive in Istanbul for Your 6-day Turkey Itinerary
When you arrive at Istanbul International Airport for your 6 day Turkey itinerary one of our travel representatives will be standing by to meet and greet you at gate number 8. You will then be transferred to the hotel in Istanbul where you will be staying while you are in this fascinating city.
You will be assisted with check in and then our travel representative will discuss your 6-day Turkey itinerary with you and confirm pick up times for your various tours. After this you will have the rest of the day free to enjoy as you wish.
DAY 2 – Istanbul City Tour
Enjoy a good breakfast at your hotel and then you will be taken to see five of Istanbul’s top attractions, beginning with a visit to the absolutely magnificent Hagia Sophia, This imposing Christian basilica was built by Emperor Constantine during the 4th century but was later converted into a mosque by the Ottomans during the 15th century.
The Hagia Sophia was later declared a museum for everyone to enjoy. However, in more recent times legislation was passed in Turkey and the complex was once again opened as a fully functioning mosque, but one which is open to visitors of all faiths.
Your next stop will be at the magnificent Topkapi Palace, with its exquisite Tre?asury and Harem. The palace is one of the top attractions in Istanbul and a place which every visitor should try to see during their stay in this fascinating city. While the palace was once the official residence of numerous Sultans it is today a museum that houses a priceless collection of antiquities.
After your visit to the palace you will then make your way to the famous Blue Mosque which is widely considered to be one of the most important religious buildings in the world. Your next stop today will be at the famous Grand Bazaar which is the largest covered bazaar in the world.
Enjoy some free time at the bazaar for shopping or simply for exploring its many lanes and alleys and then you will head to the Roman Hippodrome. This site once hosted chariot races and circuses and was the primary venue of entertainment for the inhabitants of Constantinople for more than 1,000 years.
Finally, after a wonderful day of sightseeing, you will be driven back to your hotel where you’ll be spending the second night of your 6 day Turkey itinerary.

DAY 3 – Bosphorus Tour and Sightseeing Cruise
Begin the third day of your small group 6 day Turkey itinerary with another good breakfast at your hotel. At the time which will have been confirmed with you, you will be picked up and then you will be taken to the famous Spice Bazaar in Istanbul.
Enjoy some free time at the bazaar and then you will be taken to board your scenic sightseeing cruise along the Bosphorus. During your cruise you will be able to see some of Istanbul’s top landmarks, including places like the Palaces of Dolmabahce, Çiragan, the Castle of Rumeli Hisarı, and more.
After your cruise you will then visit the strikingly beautiful Beylerbeyi Palace which was built from white marble by Sultan Abdulaziz during the 19th century. After visiting the palace, you will then be taken for a leisurely climb up Çamlica Hill which is also known as the Hill of Lovers. Enjoy absolutely spectacular views of Istanbul and the Bosphorus, before you descend, and then you will be transferred back to your hotel for the third night of your 6 day Turkey itinerary.

DAY 4 – Flight to Cappadocia and Cappadocia North Tour
Today you will check out from your hotel in Istanbul shortly after you have had your breakfast and then you will be transferred to the airport to board a short domestic flight to Cappadocia. On arrival at the airport in Cappadocia you will once again be met and then your Cappadocia North Tour will begin.
Today’s tour will begin with a visit to the famous Devrent Valley and Pasabagi which is also known as Monks Valley. Next, you will be taken for lunch at a good local restaurant in Avanos, a really ccharming town nestled on the banks of Kizilirmak Red River.
Once everyone in your group has finished eating you will then make your way to the breathtaking Göreme Open Air Museum and the indescribable Uchisar Rock Castle. You will also visit three stunning naturally formed rock fairy chimneys that have been sculptured by Mother Nature over thousands of years.
On the way back to your hotel you will also enjoy a brief photo stop at Goreme Panorama, and then you will be driven back to your hotel for the 4th night of your 6-day Turkey itinerary.

DAY 5 – Cappadocia South Tour and Return to Istanbul
Shortly after you have had your breakfast you will check out from your hotel and then your Cappadocia South Tour will begin. Today’s tour begins with a visit to Red Valley where you will enjoy a leisurely 4 km walk to admire the area’s beautiful fauna and flora.
Next, you will enjoy a brief visit to Pigeon Valley, after which you will visit the ancient Christian Village of Cavusin. Due to its partially collapsed state, it is the ideal place to take some truly spectacular photographs.
Your next stop will be at the ancient Village of Uchisar to see a naturally formed Rock Fortress. From here you will visit a carpet workshop where you will be able to see how world famous Turkish rugs and carpets are woven. Your last stop of the day will be at a jewelry workshop where absolutely beautiful silver jewelry is handcrafted by skilled craftsman.
After a wonderful day of sightseeing you will then be transferred to the airport in Cappadocia and you will board a flight back to Istanbul for the final night of your 6 day Turkey itinerary.

DAY 6 – Your 6 Day Turkey Itinerary Ends and Final Departure
Enjoy one last breakfast in Turkey and then at the appropriate time one of our travel representatives will meet you at the hotel and assist you with checkout, and then you will be transferred to Istanbul International Airport in time for you to board your flight out of Turkey.
Your absolutely incredible 6 day Turkey itinerary has come to an end but you will be boarding your flight knowing that you have experienced six incredible days which you’re not likely to ever forget.
