DAY 1 – Arrive In Turkey for Your Istanbul and Athens Tour
When you arrive at Istanbul International Airport for your Istanbul and Athens tour, you will be met by one of our travel representatives and then you will be transferred to your hotel in one of our deluxe air conditioned vehicles.
On arrival at your hotel you will be assisted with check-in and then you will have the remainder of the day to yourself to enjoy as you wish.
DAY 2 – Guided Istanbul City Tour
Enjoy a good breakfast at your hotel and then at the confirmed time, you and the other people in your group will be picked up for a guided Istanbul city tour. Your first stop of the day will be at the magnificent Hagia Sophia which is the most famous and most visited tourist attraction in Istanbul. This absolutely splendid basilica was built by Emperor Constantine in the 4th century. It was later converted into a mosque by the Ottomans when they conquered Constantinople.
Much later, the Hagia Sophia was converted into a museum, but is now once again a functioning mosque. However, people of all faiths are welcome to visit this architectural masterpiece to enjoy both its exterior and interior.
Your next stop of the day will be at the magnificent Topkapi Palace which served as the official residence of numerous Sultans from the 15th to the 19th century. Today the palace is a museum, and one which houses priceless collections of antiquities. Besides the palace itself, the complex is also home to an exquisite treasury and harem, along with several pavilions and beautifully manicured gardens.
Following your visit to the palace, you will then head to Istanbul’s famous and absolutely spectacular Blue Mosque, renowned for its six minarets. The Blue Mosque is considered to be one of the most important religious buildings in the world.
Next, you will be taken to a good quality restaurant to enjoy some lunch. Once everyone in your group has finished eating, you will then make your way to the Hippodrome. The Hippodrome once hosted regular chariot races and circuses and was the primary site of entertainment for the inhabitants of Constantinople for more than 1,000 years.
Your final stop of the day will be at the Grand Bazaar, which is one of the largest covered bazaars in the world. Enjoy some free time at the bazaar to do some shopping or simply to explore this colorful and bustling market. When everyone in your group is finished at the bazaar you will then be transferred back to your hotel where you’ll be spending the second night of your Istanbul and Athens tour.

DAY 3 – Bosphorus Tour and Cruise
Begin the third day of your Istanbul and Athens tour with another good breakfast at your hotel. At the time which will have been confirmed with you, you and the other members in your group will be picked up to enjoy a Bosphorus tour and a short sightseeing cruise. exclamation point
Your first stop of the day will be at Istanbul’s famous Spice Market. This is a great opportunity for you to purchase some exotic spices which you may have difficulty obtaining in your own country. Even if you don’t want to purchase anything, the market is a great place to stroll around and watch the locals going about their daily lives.
After your visit to the market you will then be taken to board your Bosphorus cruise. During your cruise you will get to see a number of Istanbul’s famous landmarks, including the Palaces of Dolmabahce, Çiragan, the Castle of Rumeli Hisarı, and a number of others.
Today you will also visit the magnificent Beylerbeyi Palace that was built from white marble during the 19th century by Sultan Abdulaziz. The palace then served as the Sultan’s summer residents and also as a guest house for important visiting foreign dignitaries.
Next, you will be taken to enjoy a leisurely climb up Çamlica Hill which is locally known as the Hill of Lovers. When you get to the top you will be able to enjoy truly spectacular views of Istanbul and the Bosphorus.
Finally, you will descend Çamlica Hill and then you will be transferred back to your hotel in Istanbul for the third night of your 7-Day Istanbul and Athens tour.

DAY 4 – Fly from Istanbul to Athens
Enjoy a good breakfast at your hotel, and then at the appropriate time you, will be met and assisted with check out, and then you’ll be driven to Istanbul International Airport in time for you to board your flight to Athens in Greece.
On arrival in Athens you will be met at the airport by one of our travel representatives and then you’ll be transferred to the hotel where you will be staying for the remaining nights of your Istanbul and Athens tour package. There are no excursions scheduled for this day so once you have checked in at your hotel you will have the remainder of the day to enjoy as you wish.

DAY 5 – Guided Athens City Tour
Wake up to another good hotel breakfast and then at the confirmed time your English speaking guide will meet you at your hotel and your Athens sightseeing tour will get underway. Today’s sightseeing begins with a wonderful panoramic tour of the city’s Athenian Neoclassical Center where you will visit all of the area’s most iconic landmarks, including:
The Parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the University, the Library, and National Academy, the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian’s Gate, the Panathenaic Stadium, and several others. Your licensed English speaking guide will tell you all about the background and the history of all the places you visit.
Next, you will visit the “Sacred Rock” which is a magnificent and very unique Acropolis. While you are at the Acropolis you will also visit the Acropolis Museum.
Once you are finished at the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum you will then have the option of returning to your hotel or exploring the absolutely charming and very picturesque streets of Plaka on your own. This is something we definitely recommend doing.

DAY 6 – 3 Islands Day Cruise
Begin the 6th day of your Istanbul and Athens tour package with another good breakfast at your hotel. At the time which will have been confirmed with you, you and the other members in your group will be picked up and you will head to Athens Port where you will be boarding the boat that will be taking you to see three Saronic Gulf Islands.
The first island you will visit today is Hydra which is a vehicle-free and extremely picturesque small island which is well known among international jet setters. When you arrive at the island we strongly recommend that you hire a donkey and explore the island’s wonderfully charming cobblestone roads at your own pace.
After enjoying some time on Hydra, you will board your boat and you will head to the small island of Poros with its iconic clock tower facing the Peloponnese.
Your final stop for the day will be at the island of Aegina which is a very popular weekend retreat for lots of Athenians. When you arrive at the island you will disembark and you will have some time to enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride, or alternatively, you can enjoy an optional tour to the Temple of Afea. Whatever you choose to do, don’t forget to buy some pistachios, because this charming island is the pistachio capital of the world.
In the afternoon there will be a delicious buffet lunch served on board the boat and while you are sailing back to Athens, you will also have the opportunity to take part in some traditional Greek dancing. On arrival at the port in Athens you will disembark, and then you will be transferred to your hotel where you’ll be spending the final night of your Istanbul and Athens tour.

DAY 7 – Your Istanbul and Athens Tour Ends and Final Departure
Sadly, your tour of Istanbul and Athens has now come to an end. Enjoy one last breakfast at your hotel and then at the appropriate time you will be met by one of our travel representatives who will assist you with check out and then transfer you to the airport in time for you to board your flight out of Greece.
Your wonderful Istanbul and Athens tour may be over, but you will be boarding your flight knowing that you will have seen some of the very top attractions that these two fascinating destinations have to offer.
