DAY 1 – Arrive in Egypt for your Tour from Cairo to Petra
When you arrive in Egypt for your Tour from Cairo to Petra your tour manager will meet you at the airport. You will be transferred to your hotel in one of our deluxe air-conditioned vehicles. Your tour manager will assist you with check-in. He or she will also discuss your itinerary with you and confirm a meeting time for the following day’s tour. There are no tours scheduled for today so you will have the rest of your first day in Cairo to yourself.
DAY 2 – Giza and Saqqara Pyramids Tour
After enjoying a delicious Egyptian breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel to begin your day with a visit to the famous Giza necropolis. Here, you’ll explore the Great Pyramids, the iconic Sphinx, and the Valley Temple. During your visit, you’ll also have the option to visit the Solar Boat Museum, though this is not included in the tour price and tickets can be purchased on-site.
After spending the morning at the pyramids, you will enjoy lunch at a local Egyptian restaurant. Following lunch, your guide and driver will take you to the Saqqara necropolis, home to the Djoser Step Pyramid, the oldest pyramid discovered in Egypt and considered the first pyramid ever built by the ancient Egyptians.
After your visit to Saqqara, your guide and driver will return you to your hotel in Cairo to relax for the evening.

DAY 3 – Egyptian Museum and The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM)
After breakfast, your day begins with a visit to The New Grand Egyptian Museum, also known as the Giza Museum, located about 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) from the Giza pyramid complex. Currently offering limited access for test runs before its official opening, the museum allows visitors to explore the Main Galleries, Grand Hall, Grand Staircase, commercial area, and the exterior gardens.
Following your visit, you’ll enjoy lunch at an authentic Egyptian restaurant. Afterward, you’ll head to the Egyptian Museum in downtown Cairo, right by the famous Tahrir Square, where you can admire the incredible collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts and treasures. Finally, you’ll return to your hotel to relax and spend the night in Cairo.

DAY 4 – Transfer from Cairo to Amman in Jordan
At the confirmed time, your tour manager will meet you at your hotel and you will check-out. You will then be transferred to Cairo International Airport in time for you to board your flight to Amman in Jordan. Another one of our tour representatives will meet you at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman. Once you clear immigration you will then be transferred to your hotel and you will have the rest of the day to yourself.

DAY 5 – Madaba and Dead Sea Leisure Time
After breakfast your driver and an English-speaking assistant will fetch you from your hotel. You will then be taken to Mount Nebo where Moses was shown the Promised Land. You will also visit an old monastery and then you will be driven to town of Madaba. When you reach Madaba you will head straight for the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George to see a 6th-century stone mosaic map of Palestine.
Once you are finished at the church at Madaba, your next stop will be at the Dead Sea where you will stay for most of the afternoon. You have probably heard how easy it is to float on the Dead Sea? This will be a great opportunity for you to experience it for yourself. Later in the afternoon, or whenever you are ready, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Amman.

DAY 6 – Rose Red City of Petra Tour
Today will be one of the top highlights of your Cairo Petra Tour. After breakfast, you will leave your hotel and you will drive to Petra to see the ancient Lost City of Petra. This is Jordan’s biggest and most famous tourist attraction. It is also one of the most striking ancient attractions in the whole world.
During the 6th-century BC, nomadic Nabatean Arabs decided to settle down and created a city for themselves. They did this by carving their city out of the walls of a long and deep rock gorge. When you reach the site, you will meet up with an English-speaking local guide who will take you for a guided tour of the area.
There is a 700-meter walk from the visitor center to the canyon entrance which is call the Siq. The canyon itself is a further 1,200 meters long. It is recommended that you wear comfortable walking shoes for this tour. During your tour, you will to see the city’s most impressive features, such as the Street of Facades; the Royal Tombs; the Pharaoh’s Castle and the Treasury.
Tours typically last from 2 to 3 hours. After your tour, you will return to the visitor center and your driver will drive you back to your hotel in Amman.

DAY 7 – Cairo Petra Tour Ends / Final Departure
At the confirmed time, our tour representative will meet you at you hotel and he will assist you with check-out. Once you have checked out, you will then be driven to Queen Alia International Airport in time for you to catch your flight out of Jordan.
