DAY 1 – Arrive in Istanbul for Your 11-Day Turkey Group Tour
When you arrive at Istanbul Airport, one of our travel representatives will be standing by to meet and greet you, and then once you have completed immigration procedures, you’ll immediately be transferred to your hotel in one of our modern deluxe air conditioned vehicles. When you get to the hotel you will check in and then our travel representative will discuss your tour itinerary with you and confirm pick up times for your upcoming sightseeing tours. After this, you will have the remainder of the day to yourself to enjoy as you wish.
DAY 2 – Guided Highlights of Istanbul Tour
Enjoy a good breakfast at your hotel, and then at the confirmed time you will be picked up and your tour of this fascinating city will begin with a visit to the Hagia Sophia which is one of the city’s most impressive and most visited archaeological masterpieces in Istanbul. The Hagia Sophia was originally built to serve as a Christian basilica but it was later converted into a mosque by the Ottomans.
At a much later date, when Turkey became a secular state, the mosque was converted into a museum. However in more recent times it has once again become a fully functioning mosque, but one which is open to the public and people of all religions.
Your next stop will be at the magnificent Topkapi Palace which served as the residence of numerous Sultans between 1478 and 1856. Besides the main palace which houses a vast collection of antiques, the site also consists of treasury, an exquisite harem, along with numerous gardens and kiosks which are spread out over the neighborhood of the city’s historic center, all the way to the tip of the Golden Horn. It is today one of the most visited Istanbul tourist attractions.
Next, you will make your way to the famous Blue Mosque which is renowned for its six tall minarets and its architectural splendor. After spending some time at the mosque you will then make your way to the Roman Hipperdrome which once hosted chariot races and circuses which was the primary source of entertainment in Constantinople for hundreds of years.
Your final stop for the day will be at the Grand Market, a sprawling covered bazaar where you can literally buy anything and everything. Enjoy some free time at the market and then you’ll be transferred back to your hotel for the second night of your Turkey group tour.

DAY 3 – Bosphorus Tour and Cruise
Begin your day with another good breakfast at your hotel, and then at the confirmed time you once again be picked up for another wonderful sightseeing tour which will also include a delightful cruise on the Bosphorus.
The Bosphorus, also known as the Sea of Marmara, is a narrow strip of ocean that runs through Istanbul, separating Asia from Europe. Your first stop of the day will be at Istanbul’s old Eminönü neighborhood to visit the Egyptian Market or the Spice Market which was built during the 7th century.
Next, you will be taken to board a regular passenger boat for your Bosphorus cruise, during which you’ll be able to enjoy spectacular views of a number of famous landmarks, including Dolmabahce Palace, Çiragan, the Fortress of Rumeli Hisarı, and others. After this you will visit Beylerbeyi Palace, a truly striking complex built from white marble by Sultan Abdulaziz during the 19th century. The palace also served as a summer residence for later Sultans and a place for important foreign dignitaries to stay during their time in Turkey.
Your last activity for the day will be a leisurely climb up Çamlica Hill, also known as the Hill of Lovers. It provides absolutely magnificent panoramic views of Istanbul and the Bosphorus. After you have finished enjoying the views, you will then make your way back down the hill and you’ll be transported to your hotel where you’ll be spending the third night of your Turkey group tour.

DAY 4 – Istanbul to Ankara by Coach
Shortly after you have had breakfast at your hotel, you will check out and then you will begin the journey from Istanbul to Ankara, the capital of Turkey, on board one of our clean, modern and comfortable couches. The distance by road between these two cities is approximately 450 km. On arrival in Ankara, you will then be transferred to the hotel where you’ll be spending this night of your Turkey vacation. Once you have checked in at the hotel, enjoy some free time for yourself and a delicious dinner at your hotel in the evening.

DAY 5 – Ankara to Salt Lake and on to Cappadocia
Begin the 5th day of your Turkey group tour with another good hotel breakfast. Shortly after you have finished enjoying your meal, our travel representatives will meet you at your hotel and then you will check out. You will then begin the 290 km drive to Cappadocia. Along the way you will visit one of the region’s breathtaking Underground Cities which was built by early Christian communities for the sake of protection.
The underground city which you will be visiting includes well preserved stables, meeting rooms, common rooms, and small rooms for families. After visiting this extraordinary Underground City, you will then continue on your way to Cappadocia. On arrival in Cappadocia, you will immediately be transferred to the hotel where you’ll be spending this night of your Turkey group tour.

DAY 6 – Spectacular Cappadocia Tour
Wake up and enjoy a superb breakfast at your hotel, and then at the confirmed time you will be picked up for your amazing Cappadocia tour. First you will be taken to see a large number of fairy chimneys which are spectacular rock formations that have been carved out by natural weather conditions over thousands of years.
Next, you will visit Goreme Valley which is renowned for its unique cave churches, many of which are decorated with paintings from the 10th and 11th centuries. After visiting a few of these fascinating cave churches, you will then visit the troglodyte village of Uçhisar before moving on to Avcilar which has a truly magnificent landscape.
Your next stop will be at Devrent Valley to admire the area’s spectacular and otherworldly rock formations. After Devrent Valley, you will attend two workshops. At the first one you’ll be able to see craftsman hand weaving Turkish rugs and carpets which are famous all around the world. At the second workshop you will be able to see other craftsman mounting precious stones such as onyx onto silver jewelry.
After a wonderful day of sightseeing in one of the world’s most fascinating regions, you will then be driven back to your hotel for the 6th night of your Turkey group tour.

DAY 7 – Cappadocia to Pamukkale by Bus
Shortly after you have had breakfast at your hotel you will check out and then you will board a coach for the 610 km journey to Pamukkale. Along the way you will enjoy a short stop to visit Sultanhan Caravanserai, a Seljuk Inn that dates back to the medieval era. You will then continue on to Pamukkale where you will enjoy some free time at “Cotton Castle” a totally unique landscape of natural limestone pools and hot springs, along with the area’s petrified travertine waterfalls.
Nowhere else in the world will you find a comparable landscape. One really has to see it in person in order to believe it. After enjoying your free time at Cotton Castle, you will then be transferred to the hotel in Pamukkale for the 7th night of your Turkey group tour.

DAY 8 – Pamukkale to Ephesus and on to Izmir
Shortly after you have finished breakfast at your hotel, you will check out then you will once again board a coach and you will begin driving towards Izmir, a journey of approximately 200 km. Along the way, you will stop at the spectacular archaeological area of Ephesus, an ancient city that was dedicated to Artemis.
During your Ephesus tour, you will get to see all of the area’s top highlights, including: the Temple of Hadrian, the Odeon, the Library of Celsus, the Agora, the House of Love, the Marble Street, and the largest theater of antiquity in the world.
You will also visit the House of the Virgin. This is said to be the last place where the mother of Jesus stayed. Next, you will visit a leather production center where you’ll be able to see craftsman making a wide variety of high quality Turkish leather products.
After spending some time at the leather production center you will then once again board your coach, and you will travel to the city of Izmir, which is the third largest city in Turkey. On arrival, you will be driven directly to the hotel where you will be spending the 8th night of your Turkey group tour.

DAY 9 – Izmir to Çanakkale via Pergamon and Troy
Enjoy a good breakfast at your hotel and then it will be time for you to check out in time for you to board your coach for the 110 km drive to Pergamon. On arrival at Pergamon, you will visit the ruins of Asclepion and what was once its Therapeutic Center. There was a time in history when this was the most important and most significant hospital in Asia Minor.
After your tour at Pergamon, you will once again board your coach, and you will drive to Troy, a journey of around 190 km. On arrival, enjoy a wonderful sightseeing tour of this archaeological city of history, and then once you are done, you will again board your coach for the drive to Çanakkale, a journey of roughly 25 km.
When you get to Çanakkale you will be taken directly to the hotel where you will be spending this night of your Turkey group tour.

DAY 10 – Çanakkale to Istanbul via Gallipoli and Anzac Cove
Enjoy your breakfast and then it will be time for you to check out from your hotel. Today you will board your coach and you will cross the Dardanelles Strait by way of a vehicle ferry to begin the drive to Istanbul. However, rather than driving directly to Istanbul, you will be visiting an extremely emotionally touching area: the battlefields of Gallipoli, a stark reminder of the tragedies of World War II.
Your sightseeing tour today will see you visiting several sites and monuments relating to the war, including: Brighton Beach, the Beach Cemetery, ANZAC Cove, Ariburnu Cemetery, ANZAC Commemorative Site, the Respect to Mehmetcik Statue, the Lone Pine Australian Memorial.
During your tour, you will also visit Johnston’s Jolly, a collection of Turkish and Allied trenches and tunnels, the 57 Regiment Turkish Memorial, and the Nek, Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial.
Finally, after a potentially emotional day of sightseeing you will once again board your coach and you will complete the journey to Istanbul. On arrival in Istanbul you will be driven directly to the hotel where you will be spending the last night of your Turkey group tour.

DAY 11 – Turkey Group Tour Ends and Final Departure
Enjoy one last breakfast in Turkey, and then at the appropriate time you will be met at your hotel and you will check out. Once you have checked out, you will then be transferred to Turkey International Airport In time for you to board your flight back home. Your amazing Turkey group tour may be over, but the memories of your vacation will remain with you forever.
