10-Day Egypt Christmas Vacation: Cairo, Nile Cruise Hurghada

When you arrive at the airport in Cairo for your Egypt Christmas vacation, One of our tour representatives will be there to meet and greet you, and thanks to our Fast Track Service, you should be through immigration and out of the airport in no time at all, after which we will escort you to the hotel where you will be staying while you are in Egypt.

On arrival at the hotel, you will be assisted with check in and then our tour representative will go over your itinerary with you and confirm pick up times for your upcoming tours. After this, you will then be left to enjoy the rest of the day as you wish.

Begin your day with a satisfying breakfast at your hotel. From there, your personal guide will lead you to the Giza Plateau, where you’ll start by taking in the awe-inspiring Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. You’ll also have the chance to visit the iconic Sphinx and the Valley Temple.

Following your tour of the pyramids, you’ll enjoy lunch at an authentic Egyptian restaurant before heading to the New Grand Egyptian Museum, also known as the Giza Museum.

Afterward, you’ll return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.

After breakfast your tour manager will escort you to Cairo Airport, where you will board a flight to Aswan. When you land in Aswan you will be met by another one of our representatives and then taken to board the 5-Star cruise ship which will be your home throughout your Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor.

In the afternoon, after you have had lunch, you will leave the ship with a small group of our other clients and one of our Expert tour guides who will then take you to visit the giant Unfinished Obelisk in the old quarry, and then you will board a small boat which will take you to see the ancient Temple of Philae.

After spending some time at the temple, you will return to the ship where you will have some free time before dinner is served. There will also be some on-board entertainment in the evening, and this of your Egypt Christmas vacation will be spent on the water at Aswan

Begin the 4th day of your Egypt Christmas vacation with a good breakfast, and then enjoy a leisurely cruise to Kom Ombo. When you arrive at Kom Ombo, your Expert tour guide will take you and the other members of your group to see Kom Ombo Temple and also the Crocodile Museum. Kom Ombo Temple is very unique because the complex essentially consists of two identical temples in one. One side of this complex was dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god, while the other side was dedicated to Haeroris the falcon-headed god.

Following your excursion, you will return to the ship, and it will then set sail for Edfu. Enjoy lunch on the ship at Edfu, and then your guide will accompany you for a visit to Egypt’s best-preserved temple, the Temple of Edfu.

After spending some time at the temple, you will return to the ship, and it will then set sail for Esna. Enjoy afternoon tea and some quality leisure time during the afternoon, and then dinner will be served in the evening, once again followed by some on-board entertainment. This night of your cruise will be spent on the water at Esna.

Enjoy another good breakfast on board the ship and some free time for yourself while it sails to Luxor. Shortly after arrival in Luxor, lunch will be served, and then your Expert tour guide will accompany you on a tour of the Luxor West Bank. During this excursion you will be taking to see three of ancient Egypt’s most famous historical attractions, including Valley of the Kings, the rock-cut mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon.

After visiting these three truly remarkable attractions, you will then head back to the vessel and you have the rest of the afternoon to yourself. Dinner will be served at the usual time, followed by some on-board entertainment in the evening. Enjoy the 5th night of your Egypt Christmas vacation on the quiet waters of the Nile at Luxor.

Enjoy another good breakfast on board the ship and then it’ll be time for you to check-out and disembark. After disembarkation your Expert tour guide will then accompany you on a tour of the Luxor East Bank shortly after you arrive. During this excursion you will be taken to see the Indescribable Karnak Temple complex as well as Luxor Temple.

After your tour, you will then be transferred to Hurghada on the Red Sea coast where you will be checking in at another excellent hotel.

Once you have checked in, the remainder of the day will be yours to enjoy as you wish.

This day of your Egypt Christmas vacation is all about leisure and relaxation in Hurghada, so once you have enjoyed your breakfast at the hotel, you will then be taken to board a modern and well-equipped boat which will take you to one of Egypt’s many world renowned snorkeling and SCUBA diving hotspots where you will have the opportunity to enjoy a truly magical snorkeling experience.

Even if you don’t wish to snorkel or swim in the crystal clear waters, being out on the water is a wonderfully relaxing experience in itself. The boat will also take you to a small island where you will once again be able to enjoy some swimming and/or some time for strolling about. During this outing, you will also be served some lunch, and then you will head back to the shore where you will be met and escorted back to your hotel, with the remainder of the afternoon free for you to enjoy as you please.

As always, a good hearty breakfast will be waiting for you when you wake up, and then you will have the morning all to yourself. Shortly after lunchtime, you will be picked up from your hotel, and you will be taken for a really enjoyable Bedouin desert safari which will include an opportunity to go for a camel ride, as well as a delicious sunset BBQ dinner in the desert.

After dinner there will also be a Bedouin show and some traditional folkloric dancing, after which you will once again be returned to your hotel for the night.

This day of your Egypt Christmas vacation will see you flying back to Cairo from Hurghada. As is always the case with us, you will be met at the airport in Cairo and then driven to the hotel where you will be staying for the last night of your Egypt Christmas vacation. Once you have been checked in at the hotel, you will have the rest of the day free to enjoy as you wish.

Begin your day with a superb hotel breakfast, and then at the appropriate time, you will once again be met at your hotel by our tour representative who will then assist you with check-out and escort you to Cairo International Airport in time for you flight back home. When you get to the airport you will again be assisted in any way possible, and then it will be time for everyone to say goodbye to each other.
