2-Day El Minya Tour from Cairo – Akhenaten’s Lost City & Beni Hasan

On the day your El Minya Tour begins, one of our Expert tour guides and a driver will pick you up from hot hotel in Cairo or Giza in a private air-conditioned vehicle, and then you will make your way to El Minya, a journey which takes approximately 4 hours.

On arrival at El Minya, you will enjoy some sightseeing opportunities, and then you will be taken to a good local restaurant for some lunch.

After you have finished your lunch, you will then drive to a truly remarkable site known as Tuna El Gabal to see the Tomb of Petosiris; the Ibis Catacombs, and the Tomb of Isadora which dates back to the 2nd century AD. Isadora was famous for her exceptional beauty in the ancient city of Hermopolis.

After enjoying a wonderful afternoon at this site, your tour guide and our driver will take you a good 4 or 5 star hotel where you will be checking in for the night.

After enjoying a good breakfast at your hotel, you will check-out, and then you will drive to an area known as Benni Hassan to see three amazing ancient tombs dating back as to the 11th and 12th Dynasties.

The tombs you will be visiting and exploring here are the Tomb of Bakhet III; the Tomb of Khnumhotep, and the Tomb of Khety.

The last and final stop of your El Minya tour will be at another fascinating ancient site located at Tell El Amarna. Here you will visit a collection of tombs known as the Northern Tombs, which also include the Tomb of Ahmose, and the Tomb of Huya.

Once you have finished exploring this site, your El Minya Tour is essentially over, and our guide and driver will then drive you back to your hotel in Cairo.
