5-Day Tour of Cairo – Pyramids and Culture

You will arrive at the Cairo International Airport for your 5 day tour of Cairo and you will enjoy VIP service all the way.

On arrival you’ll be met by your tour manager and you will be driven to your hotel in style. After you have checked in, your tour manager will go over your itinerary, answer your questions, and confirm pick-up times for your upcoming Cairo adventures.

After a delightful breakfast at your hotel, set off with your private guide toward the Giza Plateau, home to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World — the Great Pyramids of Giza. Admire the timeless beauty of the Sphinx and Valley Temple before savouring lunch at an authentic local restaurant.

Later, visit the newly inaugurated Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), located roughly 2 kilometres (1.2 miles) from the pyramid site.

Return to your hotel for the night in Cairo.

Day 3 of your 5 day tour of Cairo begins with another enjoyable breakfast in the hotel, and then you will be guided through a personal tour of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, famous for housing the royal mummies and exhibits that narrate Egypt’s long and colourful past.

Next, travel to Old Cairo to see some of Egypt’s oldest churches. Enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant before heading to the magnificent Salah El-Din Citadel, where you’ll explore the impressive Mohammed Ali Mosque and take in panoramic city views.

After a wonderful day out, you will be driven back to your hotel where you will once again be spending the night.

Day 4 of your 5 day tour of Cairo begins with another good breakfast. Today, you have the option of enjoying a free day in Cairo or joining our highly esteemed optional tour to Alexandria, the second capital of Egypt.

During this tour, you will have the opportunity to visit Qaitbay Citadel, one of the most significant defensive fortresses along the coast of not only Egypt but also the Mediterranean Sea. It was constructed in the 15th century by Sultan Qaitbay on the very site where Alexandria’s ancient lighthouse once stood. Afterward, we will proceed to the renowned Alexandria Library, a modern and highly acclaimed institution.

Additionally, we will explore the Catacombs, a Roman cemetery intricately carved into the rock.

Finally, we will return to your hotel in Cairo.
