Day 1: Arrive in Egypt

Welcome to Ancient Egypt. Regardless of what time you arrive for your 8 day Egyptian adventure, a tour manager will be standing by to meet you at the Airport. They will assist you in any way they can, and then you will be taken to check-in at your 5-Star hotel in Cairo.

Your tour manager will then assist you with check-in, and then the two of you will discuss your tour itinerary and confirm the pick-up times for your various tours.

Spend the rest of your day any way you want. Go out and explore the city; sample local cuisine, or simply relax and unwind in the comfort of your hotel.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at your hotel. Your personal guide will then accompany you to the Giza Plateau, where you’ll begin by admiring one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the majestic Great Pyramids of Giza. Explore the iconic Sphinx and the Valley Temple.

After your pyramid tour, you’ll enjoy lunch at a traditional Egyptian restaurant before continuing to the New Grand Egyptian Museum, also called the Giza Museum.

Return to your hotel afterward for an overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 3: Luxor Sightseeing

You will arrive in Luxor, and be met by our representative. Immediately following, you will transfer to your hotel for check-in. Next up, you will head out to the Valley of the Kings, where you will also enjoy the Temple of Hatshepsut and the famed Colossi of Memnon.

The Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temples are also on the itinerary.

After your tour, you will spend the night in your hotel in Luxor.

Day 4: Aswan Sightseeing

After you enjoy breakfast at the hotel, you will board an air-conditioned vehicle and drive to Aswan. Here, you will check-in at another 5-Star hotel before setting off to see the incredible Temple of Philae, dedicated to Isis and Hathor.

Following your tour you will then return to your hotel and you will have the rest of the day for yourself.

Day 5: Abu Simbel Temples

You’ll start your day early with a breakfast box at 4:30 am. You will board a modern air-conditioned coach for a group trip to the spectacular Temples of Ramses II at Abu Simbel, a journey which typically takes about 3.5 hours. Your return will take you to the Aswan railway station, where you will board an overnight sleeper train for Cairo, traveling first class in your own private compartment.

NOTE: If you would rather upgrade to a flight from Aswan to Abu Simbel, please advise us in advance because flights are subject to availability. A small surcharge fee is charged for upgrades.

Day 6: Back to Cairo

On arrival in Cairo, you will be met at the Giza railway station and taken to the 5-Star hotel where you will be staying.

You can either have the day all to yourself to spend as you wish, or alternatively, you can enjoy an optional tour to the Sakkara necropolis to visit the Step Pyramid of Pharaoh Djoser during the day.

Day 7: Free Day/Alexandria Sights

On day 7 you have the option of enjoying a free day to explore Cairo, or you can take the trip out to Alexandria. Should you visit Egypt’s second capital, you will visit the Qaitbay Citadel, built in the 15th century, as well as the the New Alexandria Library.

Of course, the Roman Catacombs are always worth a visit. You will return to Cairo for the evening.

Day 8: Final Departure

The final day of your tour has arrived. Enjoy another typical 5-Star breakfast at your hotel, and then at the appropriate time we will load your luggage and drive you to Cairo International Airport in style to catch your flight home. On arrival at the airport, you will again be assisted in every way possible, and then it will be with heavy hearts that we bid each other farewell.
