Day 3: Flight to Luxor, Nile Cruise Embarkation, and East Bank Tour

Today ushers in the next phase of your amazing Egypt Easter Tour, so once you have enjoyed your breakfast at the hotel, your tour manager will meet at the time which was confirmed yesterday, and then you will be taken to the airport where you will board a flight to Luxor. Shortly after boarding, you will be served a lovely onboard lunch, and then the sightseeing will begin. Today you will be visiting temple complex of Amon-Ra first, and then the famous Luxor Temple which was built during the 28th Dynasty. The temple complex of Amon-Ra is mostly known as Karnak Temple, and it was, in fact, a temple city that grew over a period of more than 2,000 years, with numerous rulers of Egypt expanding it during their reigns.

Luxor Temple is likewise a vast complex, although nowhere nearly as vast as Karnak. It is, however, a much more well-preserved monument and it is a wonderful site to visit. Following your visit to these two monuments, you will return to the cruise ship, and shortly after boarding, you will be served a scrumptious onboard dinner. Enjoy the remainder of the evening as you wish, and enjoy a good night’s sleep on the water, with your boat moored on the banks on the Nile at Luxor.

Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch

Day 4: West Bank Antiquities Tour and Cruise to Edfu

Day 4 of your Egypt Easter Tour begins once again with a superb breakfast, and then you will be visiting some of Egypt’s top historical tourist attractions, including Valley of the Kings; the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the massive Colossi of Memnon that overlooks the mighty Nile River.

The Valley of the Kings is best known for being the place where King Tutankhamen’s tomb was discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter, but this ancient royal necropolis is also home to a multitude of other tombs that once belonged to pharaohs of the Early Kingdom, including Ramesses II.

Following your visit to Valley of the Kings, you will then visit the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a vast rock-cut temple which is one of Egypt’s most visited and most cherished ancient sites. When you see this temple and you step inside it, it is hard to believe that it is thousands of years old, and the kings and queens once stood exactly where you are standing today.

Next, you will be visiting two giant stone statues known as the Colossi of Memnon. Legend has it that the one statue used to occasionally make a shouting noise at around dawn, and because of this, the statues were became known as Memnon, son of Eos, goddess of the Dawn.

Finally, you will return to the wonderful comfort of cruise liner, and it will begin sailing towards Edfu, and lunch being served along the way, and dinner being served in the evening at Edfu. Tonight you will be sleep on the boat while it is moored at Edfu.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 5: Edfu Temple, Kom Ombo Temple, and Cruise to Aswan

Begin another day of your Egypt Easter Tour with a delicious breakfast, and then you will be taken to visit Edfu Temple which is one of the biggest and most well-preserved temples of the ancient world, largely because of the fact that it lay hidden beneath the sand for around 2,000 years. Arriving at the entrance to this site, which is flanked by two beautiful granite statues of Horus the falcon god, is really an experience you will never forget.

After your visit to the temple, you will return to your boat, and it will then cruise to Kom Ombo. On arrival, you will disembark for another excursion, this time to see Kom Ombo Temple. This is a spectacular Greco-Roman temple, and your Expert guide will be more than happy to explain the fascinating history of this remarkable site.

These attractions are incredible, but the Temple of Philae is definitely steals the show.

This marvelous relic of the ancient world was actually relocated in its entirety from its original location in order to save it from the rising water of Lake Nasser following the completion of the High Dam.

After your tour, you will head back to the ship and you will then be served another excellent lunch. After lunch you will have the rest of the afternoon to yourself to relax on board the boat, with a wonderful dinner being served in the evening.
