8-Day Egypt Tours for Disabled Travelers

Day 1: Welcome to Cairo, Egypt

When you arrive at Cairo International Airport your tour manager will be standing by to meet and greet you, and to assist you in any way possible. Once you have completed immigration procedures you will then be transferred to your hotel in one of our deluxe air condition vehicles which have been modified to make them wheelchair friendly.

Once you reach your hotel your tour manager will see to it that you get to enjoy a smooth and hassle-free check-in. He or she will also go over your travel itinerary with you to establish and confirm pick up times for your upcoming tours. After this you will be left on your own to enjoy the remainder of the day as you wish.

Day 2: The Pyramids of Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel, and then at the time which will have been confirmed with you, your personal English speaking guide and one of our drivers will collect you and you will make your way to the famous Giza necropolis. It is here that you will be able to see the three legendary Giza Pyramids, the Valley Temple and the Great Sphinx.

All attractions at this site are wheelchair accessible, and of course, you will also have one of our guides with you to offer assistance if needed or required. After your pyramids tour, you’ll then be taken to a good authentic Egyptian restaurant for some lunch.

Once you’re finished eating, you will then make your way to the world famous Grand Egyptian Museum located at Giza.

Day 3: Transfer to Luxor, Cruise Embarkation and East Bank Tour

The next phase of our Egypt tours for disabled travelers begins today. Enjoy another excellent breakfast at your hotel and then it will soon be time for you to check out so that we can transfer you to the airport in time for you to board a short domestic flight to Luxor.

When you arrive at the airport in Luxor one of our travel representatives will be standing by to meet and greet you and then you’ll be taken to board your Nile cruise in one of our modern wheelchair accessible vehicles. All Nile cruise ships that feature in our Egypt tours for disabled travelers are wheelchair friendly.

Shortly after you board your cruise ship you will get to enjoy your first delicious lunch on the river. After lunch you will have some free time for yourself and then your guide will escort you and a small number of our other clients on a visit to the east bank. During this excursion you will get to visit two spectacular ancient sites: Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple.

After your tour, you will then head back to your Nile cruise ship. Enjoy a gourmet dining experience in the evening and have a wonderful night’s rest on the water at Luxor.

Day 4: Luxor West Bank and Cruise to Edfu

Enjoy another excellent breakfast on your Nile cruise ship and then your guide will accompany you and the other members of your group to two breathtaking ancient sites. Your first stop will be at the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This is considered to be one of the “incomparable monuments” of ancient Egypt.

Next, you will visit the towering Colossi of Memnon. These two gigantic rock statues are all that remain of what was once a grand temple. After spending a bit of time at this site you will then make your way back to your cruise ship in time to enjoy another excellent lunch.

After lunch, your Nile cruise ship will then start sailing to Edfu. This night of our classic 8-Day Egypt tours for disabled travelers is spent on the water at Edfu.

Day 5: Edfu Temple, Kom Ombo Temple and Cruise to Aswan

Enjoy another good breakfast on your Nile cruise ship and then your guide will accompany you and your group on a visit to Edfu Temple. Also known as the Temple of Horus, this is the best preserved ancient temple ever discovered in Egypt. The temple was buried beneath the desert sands for more than 2,000 years, hence its remarkable state of preservation.

Once all passengers are back on board the cruise ship it will then sail to Kom Ombo where you’ll be taken to see one of the most unique ancient temples ever discovered in Egypt. Kom Ombo Temple is essentially a twin temple complex that was dedicated to two different Egyptian gods: Sobek the crocodile god, and Horus the falcon-headed god.

After your visit to this breathtaking ancient temple you will then return to the cruise ship and it will begin sailing to Aswan. Enjoy a delicious lunch along the way and then you will have the rest of the day free to enjoy as you wish. This night of our Egypt tours for disabled travelers is spent on the quiet waters of the Nile at Aswan.

Day 6: Aswan Sightseeing and Leisure Time

Begin your day with another delicious breakfast and then it will be time for some sightseeing. Today’s tour will also see you visiting the nearby Nubian Village which you will reach in one of our specially modified wheelchair friendly air condition vehicles.

After some excellent sightseeing you will then be driven back to your Nile cruise ship and you will have the rest of the day free to enjoy as your wish. Enjoy the last night of your Nile cruise on the water at Aswan.

Day 7: Return to Cairo by Air

Shortly after you have enjoyed your breakfast it will be time for you to check out and disembark from your cruise. You will then be driven to the airport where you will board a short domestic flight back to Cairo.

On arrival at the airport in Cairo your tour manager will meet you and then escort you to the hotel where you will be staying for the final night of our 8-day Egypt tours for disabled travelers.

Day 8: Final Departure from Egypt

Enjoy an excellent breakfast at your hotel, and then at the appropriate time you will need to check out so that we can transfer you to Cairo International Airport in one of our wheelchair accessible vehicles in time for you to board your flight out of Egypt.
