This temple was abandoned by the Roman, and in the years that followed it ended up being buried beneath the desert sand where it lay hidden for around 2,000. As a result of this, it is the best-preserved Ptolemaic temple ever discovered.

After spending some time exploring this ancient site, everyone returns to the ship and it will set sail for Kom Ombo. On arrival Kom Ombo, you will once again disembark and you will be taken to visit Kom Ombo Temple. This is essentially a double temple, with one being built as a mirror image of the other. The reason for this being that the complex was dedicated to two ancient gods, Horus, and Sobek the crocodile god.

Return to the waiting cruise ship, and shortly after everyone is back on board, another good lunch will be served, and it will cruise gracefully towards Aswan.

Lastly, you will visit the breathtaking Temple of Philae.

This ancient temple, which was dedicated to two goddesses, Isis and Hathor, once stood on a tiny island but after the High Dam was completed and the water level of Lake Nasser started rising, the temple was relocated in its entirety in order to prevent it from being lost forever. This is without question one of the best ancient attractions in the country, and visiting this site will be an experience you are not likely to forget.
