Regardless of whether you arrive in Luxor by air or by rail, one of our dedicated tour representatives will be standing by ready to meet you and to offer you assistance. They will then escort you in air-conditioned comfort to Luxor Port where you will be boarding the award-winning Amarco Nile cruise liner for your 5-Day Luxor to Aswan Nile cruise.

Shortly after boarding, and after you have had some time to settle down in your luxurious cabin, the crew will start to serve lunch in the vessel’s beautifully styled and decorated dining area. Once everyone has finished eating you will disembark for your first onshore excursion which will see you visiting the infamous Karnak Temple complex, and also the magnificent Luxor Temple, both of which are located on Luxor’s East Bank.

After visiting these two remarkable ancient sites, you will return to the Amarco Nile Cruise where you will enjoy a wonderful onboard dinner. Spend the rest of the evening as you wish, and enjoy a fabulous night’s sleep in your cabin on the water in Luxor.

Begin your day with a really good onboard breakfast, and then it will be time to disembark for a trip to the West Bank of ancient Thebes. If you have ever been fascinated by early Egyptian rulers, this excursion is going to be one you will never ever forget.

First, you will be going to Valley of the Kings, an ancient burial ground where more than 70 royal tombs have been discovered, including that of King Ramses the 6th. This is also where you will see the famous tomb of King Tutankhamen which was discovered along with his mummy and a vast collection of treasure.

Later you will proceed to another indescribable ancient site that was carved out the rock, the majestic Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Finally, you will begin making your way back to the Amarco Nile Cruise, stopping along the way to admire the giant Colossi of Memnon.

Enjoy a wonderful lunch back on board your cruise liner, followed by some quality leisure time and some afternoon tea while it cruises to Edfu via Esna. Another delicious dinner will be served on board shortly after you arrive in Edfu where you will be spending the night on the water.

Today once again begins with a good onboard breakfast, and then you will disembark to visit Edfu’s famous Horus Temple, an ancient relic which really needs to be seen in person in order to be fully appreciated. For more than 2,000 years, this temple lay buried beneath the sand, and as a result, it is by far the best-preserved temple of the ancient world.

Upon returning to the Amarco Nile Cruise, you will sail to Kom Ombo, enjoying a fine lunch and afternoon tea along the way. Disembark in Kom Ombo for another exciting excursion, this time to the remarkable twin temples of Kom Ombo that were built to honor Horus the Elder and Sobek the crocodile God.

Finally, the Amarco Nile Cruise will set sail towards Aswan, where you will enjoy another scrumptious onboard dinner and another comfortable night’s sleep in your luxury cabin on the water.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, and then enjoy a visit to the very impressive Aswan High Dam, followed by a fascinating visit to a nearby Nubian village. Everyone will then return to the cruise liner in time for another good lunch on board.

After lunch, the remainder of the day has been reserved for leisure and relaxation, with afternoon tea being served at around 15h00, followed by a wholesome dinner at about 19h00. Spend the last night of you Nile cruise on the water in Aswan.

Regrettably, today is the day your 5-Day Amarco Nile Cruise adventure comes to an end. Nonetheless, before you say goodbye, first enjoy another wonderful breakfast onboard while you cherish all the memories you have accumulated over the last few days.

When you disembark, you will be escorted in air-conditioned comfort to the airport, or to the railway station if you are planning on taking the train out of Aswan.
