DAY 1 – 11 Day Luxury Dahabiya Nile Sailing Vacation Begins

Enjoy hassle-free and worry-free travel from the moment you arrive for your Dahabiya Nile sailing vacation. When you land in Cairo, your tour manager will meet you, provide you with your entry visa for Egypt, and our Fast Track service means you will be through immigration in no time at all. There will also be one of our drivers waiting to drive you to your 5-Star hotel in a clean and modern air-conditioned vehicle.

When you reach your hotel, your tour manager will assist with check-in and then briefly discuss your itinerary with you and confirm a pick-up time for the following day’s tour. After this, you will be left to enjoy the remainder of the day as you wish.

DAY 2 – The Great Pyramids of Giza and Saqqara Necropolis

Following a delightful and nourishing Egyptian breakfast, your dedicated guide will escort you to the awe-inspiring Giza Plateau, where you’ll have the privilege of marveling at one of the Seven Wonders of the World: the Great Pyramids of Giza. You can choose to explore on foot or opt for a camel ride to reach the iconic Sphinx and the Valley Temple.

Afterward, savor a traditional Egyptian lunch at an authentic restaurant before continuing your journey to the Sakkara area. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the Sakkara Complex and visit the historic Djoser Pyramid, the very first pyramid ever constructed.

Your memorable day will conclude with an overnight stay in Cairo.

DAY 3 – The Egyptian Museum and Khan el Khalili

Indulge in yet another scrumptious oriental breakfast at your hotel, and then set off for a visit to the Egyptian Museum, located in the heart of historic Downtown Cairo, with commanding views of the renowned Tahrir Square. After immersing yourself in the splendor of ancient Egyptian artifacts and treasures, you’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant that is a favorite among the locals.

Following your meal, embark on a journey through Old Cairo, arriving at the historic Medieval Islamic Cairo area. Here, you’ll have the chance to explore the vibrant and labyrinthine alleys of Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s oldest and most captivating bazaar.

Your day concludes with an overnight stay in Cairo.

DAY 4 – Dahabiya Cruise Embarkation and Luxor Sightseeing

The next phase of your Dahabiya Nile sailing trip begins today, which means that you will need to check out from your hotel shortly after breakfast so that we can drive you to the airport in time for you to board a flight to Luxor. When you land in Luxor, you will again be met at the airport, and then you will be taken to board your beautiful Dahabiya river yacht.

A delicious lunch will be served shortly after boarding, and then your Expert guide will take you to see three wonderful sites in Luxor: the Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple complex, and the Luxor Museum. Enjoy some free time relaxing aboard the Dahabiya after your tour, and then it will be time for dinner to be served.

This night of your Dahabiya Nile sailing vacation will be spent on the water in Luxor.

DAY 5 – Luxor West Bank and Sail to Edfu

Today, after breakfast on board, you will visit the Luxor West Bank, including the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, the rock-cut mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. After your tour, return to the Dahabiya for lunch and some relaxation.

In the afternoon, the Dahabiya will depart and sail towards Edfu. Enjoy the tranquil journey along the Nile, with dinner served on board. You will spend this night of your luxury Dahabiya cruise on the water near Edfu.

DAY 6 – Edfu Temple and Sail to Gebel el Silsila

After breakfast on board, you will be taken to see Edfu Temple, also known as the Temple of Horus. A traditional horse-drawn carriage will transport you to the temple and back to your Dahabiya after your tour.

Enjoy lunch back on the Dahabiya, and then it will sail to Gebel el Silsila. While sailing, you will witness historical sites along the way. There are no further excursions planned for this day, so you will have the remainder of the day to yourself, and you will spend this night of your luxury Dahabiya cruise on the water near Gebel el Silsila.

DAY 7 – Gabal el Silsila Sightseeing and Sail to Beshir Island

Today, your Dahabiya will make an early departure, and you will be served breakfast while sailing to Gabal el Silsila, where you will see a number of historical sites before continuing on to Beshir Island. Lunch will be served along the way.

After arriving in Beshir Island, enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner. This night of your Dahabiya Nile sailing vacation will be spent in your cabin on the water near the island.

DAY 8 – Beshir Island and Sail to Herdiab Island

After breakfast today, you will have some time for relaxation and swimming at Beshir Island’s sandy beach. Shortly before lunchtime, the Dahabiya will depart and sail to Herdiab Island. Lunch will be served along the way.

In the afternoon, enjoy some tea while witnessing a spectacular sunset. Dinner will be served on board, and this night of your Dahabiya Nile sailing vacation will be spent on the water near Herdiab Island.

DAY 9 – Herdiab Island, Aswan Sightseeing, and Sail to Kom Ombo

After breakfast, you can further enjoy the surroundings of Herdiab Island. Later in the morning, the Dahabiya will depart and sail to Aswan. Upon arrival in Aswan, your guide will take you to see the Unfinished Obelisk, and the incredible ancient Temple of Philae.

After your tour, return to the Dahabiya for some relaxation. In the evening, the Dahabiya will sail to Kom Ombo. Dinner will be served on board, and you will spend this night of your Dahabiya Nile sailing vacation on the water near Kom Ombo.

DAY 10 – Kom Ombo Temple, Sail to Luxor

After breakfast on board, your guide will take you to visit Kom Ombo Temple, an ancient twin temple complex dedicated to two different gods. After the tour, return to the Dahabiya, which will start sailing back to Luxor.

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the Nile, with lunch and dinner served at the usual times. You will spend another peaceful night on the water in Luxor.

DAY 11 – Luxor West Bank and Final Departure

Wake up to another good breakfast, and then your guide will take you to see the Luxor West Bank sites, including the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, the rock-cut mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. After your tour, return to the Dahabiya for some lunch.

Sadly, your luxury Dahabiya Nile sailing trip ends today, so once you have finished your lunch, it will be time for you to check out and disembark. We will transfer you to Luxor Airport where you will board a short flight back to Cairo.

On arrival at the airport in Cairo, your tour manager will meet you, discuss your trip with you, and escort you to the airport’s International Departures hall in time for you to board your flight back home.
