When you land in Cairo you tour manager will meet you provide you with your entry visa for Egypt and our Fast Track service means you will be though immigration in no time at all. There will also be one of our drivers waiting to drive you to your 5-Star hotel in a clean and modern air-conditioned vehicle. When you reach your hotel, your tour manager will assist with check-in and then briefly discuss your itinerary with you and confirm a pick up time for the following day’s tour. After this, you will be left to enjoy the remainder of the day as you wish. Don’t forget to enjoy your free Welcome Drink. Included: Free Welcome Drink The real action begins on this day of your Dahabiya Nile sailing vacation, so once you have had your breakfast, your Expert guide and one of our drivers will fetch and take you for a tour of the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx. Your Giza Pyramids tour also includes visiting the Valley Temple, and you will have the option of visiting the Solar Boat Museum as well. An admission ticket for the Solar Boat Museum is not included in the price of our Dahabiya Nile sailing package but one can be purchased on site. Enjoy a nice lunch at a good quality local restaurant and then we visit the ancient Saqqara necropolis to see the Step Pyramid of Pharaoh Djoser which is the first pyramid ever built by the Egyptians. Next, we head to Memphis, capital of the Early Kingdom. Explore, enjoy and learn all about this ancient city and then we will transfer you back to your hotel in Cairo in cool air-conditioned comfort. Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch This day of your Dahabiya Nile sailing vacation will see you visiting another two of Cairo’s most popular landmarks: the Egyptian Museum and the centuries-old Khan el Khalili Bazaar. Today we spend most of the morning at the Museum which has tens of thousands of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including all the artifacts that were recovered from the tomb of King Tutankhamen, all of which are now on display in the museum’s Treasures Room. After an enjoyable morning at the museum, we once again head to a good local restaurant for some lunch, and then we head to the famous Khan el Khalili Bazaar. This is one of the oldest and biggest bazaars in the Middle East and it is immensely popular among locals and tourists alike. Whenever you are ready to leave the bazaar, just let your guide know and then you will be driven back to your hotel for your last night in Cairo. Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch The next phase of your Dahabiya Nile sailing trip begins today, which means that you will need to check out from your hotel shortly after breakfast so that we can drive you to the airport in time for you to board a flight to Aswan. When you land in Aswan, you will again be met at the airport, and ten you will be taken to board your beautiful Dahabiya river yacht. A delicious lunch will be served shortly after board, and then your Expert guide will take you to see three wonderful sites: the Aswan High Dam; the Unfinished Obelisk, and the incredible ancient Temple of Philae. Enjoy some free time relaxing aboard the Dahabiya after your tour, and then it will be time for dinner to be served. This night of your Dahabiya Nile sailing vacation will be spent on the water on the West Bank of Aswan. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Today, shortly after breakfast, you will be taken to see some unique sites that don’t feature in most Nile cruise itineraries. You will visit Aswan Botanical Garden and Gharb Sohail village, or alternatively, you will have the option of visiting the famous Abu Simbel Temples, but this is an optional tour and is not included in the price of your tour. Whichever option you choose, you will be back on the Dahabiya in time for lunch and then at around 14h00 your Dahabiya will depart for Herdiab Island. Enjoy some tea in the evening while witnessing a spectacular sunset, with dinner being soon after. This night of your Dahabiya Nile sailing vacation will be spent on the water near Herdiab Island. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner After breakfast today, you will have some time for swimming at Herdiab’s sandy beach, and then shortly before lunchtime Dahabiya will depart and it will start sailing to Kom Ombo. Lunch will be served along the way, and then shortly after arriving in Kom Ombo, your guide will take you to see Kom Ombo Temple; an ancient twin temple complex that was dedicated to two different gods. After spending some time exploring the temple, you will return to your Dahabiya and it will start sailing silently towards Beshir Island. Tonight’s dinner will be a delicious BBQ at Beshir Island, and this night of your Dahabiya Nile sailing vacation will be spent in your cabin on the water near the island. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Today your Dahabiya will make an early departure and you will be served breakfast out on the water while sailing to Gebel el Silsila where you will see a number of historical sites before continuing on to Edfu. There are no further excursions planned for this day, so once you leave Gebel el Silsila you will have the remainder of the day to yourself, and you will spending this night of your luxury Dahabiya cruise on the water near Edfu. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Enjoy breakfast on board the vessel and then it will sail to Edfu where you will be taken to see Edfu Temple. Also known as the Temple of Horus, this astonishing ancient complex is the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt thanks to the fact that it became buried under the desert sand and remained like that for more than 2,000 years. What also makes this excursion even more special is the fact that a traditional horse drawn carriage will take you to the temple and back to your Dahabiya after your tour. Enjoy lunch back on the Dahabiya, and then it will sail to el Kab village where you will enjoy another onshore excursion to see el Kab Temple. Following your tour of the temple, you will return to the boat, and then it will sail to Hegz Island near Esna. This night of your luxury Dahabiya Nile sailing holiday will be spent on the water at Hegz Island. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Enjoy another delicious breakfast aboard you river yacht, and then it will sail to Esna via the Esna Lock. On arrival at Esna your guide will take you to see Esna Temple, after which you Dahabiya will begin sailing to Luxor. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the Nile, with lunch and dinner served at the usual times, and enjoy another peaceful night’s sleep on the water at Luxor Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Wake up to another good breakfast, and then your guide will take you to see 4 of the most popular and most fascinating ancient sites located on the West Bank of Luxor. First you will visit Valley of the Kings, an ancient royal burial ground containing more than 60 tombs, including the tomb of King Tutankhamen. From hear we head to another ancient royal burial ground: Valley of the Queens. Next, we visit the amazing rock-cut mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, followed by a brief stop at the Colossi of Memnon before returning to the Dahabiya in time for some lunch. After Lunch, we once again leave the boat, this time for a visit to the East Bank to see Luxor Temple and the huge Karnak Temple complex. After returning to the boat, you will be free to enjoy the rest of the day as you wish, and the last night of your Dahabiya Nile sailing vacation will be spent on the water at Luxor Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Sadly, your luxury Dahabiya Nile sailing trip ends today so once you have finished your breakfast, it will be time for you to check out and disembark, at which point we will transfer you to Luxor Airport where you will board a short flight back to Cairo. On arrival at the airport in Cairo, your tour manager will meet you, and discuss your trip with you, and also escort you to the airport’s International Departures hall in time for you to board your flight back home.
