"*" indicates required fields When you arrive at Cairo International Airport, your designated tour manager will be waiting for you. If you do not already have a visa, your tour manager will help you to obtain your visa at the airport, and then you will be driven to your hotel in one of our deluxe air conditioned vehicles. Depending on which accommodation package you opt for, you could be in a hotel overlooking the iconic pyramids, or you could be in a five-star boutique hotel in Cairo’s vibrant Khan el Khalili district. Once you arrive at your hotel your tour manager will discuss your travel itinerary with you and confirm pick up times for your various tours. After that you will be left to enjoy the remainder of your first day in Egypt as you wish. Today your tour guide and one of our drivers will pick you up from your hotel at the agreed time and then you will make your way to the iconic Pyramids of Giza. While at this site you will be able to see all 3 of these famous pyramids, as well as the Sphinx and an ancient temple known as the valley temple. Visitors are able to enter the Giza Pyramids but in order to do so additional tickets need to be purchased at the site. After your visit to the pyramids, you will then be taken to a good authentic Egyptian restaurant for lunch. Once you have finished enjoying your lunch, you will then head to the famous Egyptian Museum which is located across the road from the renowned Tahrir Square. If there is enough time after your visit to the museum, you will then be taken to explore the Khan el Khalili bazaar which is one of the biggest and oldest bazaars in all of the Middle East. Finally, you will be driven back to your hotel where you will be spending your second night in Egypt. Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch Today, at the confirmed time, your tour manager will meet you at your hotel, assist you with check out and then accompany you to the airport where you will board a domestic flight to Luxor. On arrival at the airport in Luxor, another one of our travel representatives and one of our drivers will meet you and take you to board your five star Nile River cruise ship. Shortly after you have loaded your cruise boat, you will enjoy your first delicious on board lunch. After lunch, you and a small group of our other clients will be taken for a tour on the east bank to see two of Egypt’s most famous archaeological sites: Luxor Temple and the huge Karnak Temple complex. After the spending some time exploring Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple complex you will return to your cruise boat and you will be free to enjoy the reminder of the day as you wish. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Begin your day with a delicious breakfast on board the cruise ship and then enjoy a guided tour on the west bank of the Nile River. During this excursion, you will first visit the Valley of the Kings, an ancient royal burial ground that is home to more than 60 ancient tombs, including the tomb of King Tutankhamun. Following your visit to the Valley of Kings, you will visit another one of Egypt’s most cherished ancient sites and one of the country’s most beautiful temples, the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Finally, you will visit the two towering Colossi of Memnon before returning to your cruise boat in time for a delicious lunch which you’ll be able to enjoy while you are sailing to Edfu. There are no other activities scheduled, so feel free to enjoy the reminder of the day as you wish. This night of your Egypt and Saudi Arabia itinerary will be spent on the quiet waters of the Nile River at Edfu. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Begin your day with another delicious breakfast and then enjoy an excursion to the Temple of Horus which is Egypt’s best preserved ancient temple, and also one of the country’s most visited historic sites. A horse-drawn carriage will take you from your cruise boat to the temple and back again. After visiting this magnificent temple, you return to your cruise ship and you sail to Kom Ombo where you will visit the ancient temple of Kom Ombo. After visiting the temple, your expert guide will accompany you back to the cruise ship and you will enjoy another delicious lunch while you are sailing to Aswan. After lunch, spend the remainder of the day as you wish. Enjoy an excellent dinner and a good night’s sleep on the tranquil waters of the Nile River at Aswan. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Enjoy another marvelous breakfast on the board your cruise ship and then you will be taken to visit three of Aswan’s most popular tourist attractions: the Aswan High Dam, Philae Temple, and the Unfinished Obelisk. After your tour, you will make your way back to the boat in time for lunch, and then you will have the rest of the day to enjoy as you wish. Enjoy another excellent dinner in the evening and spend this night of your Egypt and Saudi Arabia itinerary on the quiet waters of the Nile River at Aswan. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Enjoy a good breakfast and a relaxing morning, and then once you have checked out and disembarked, one of our tour representatives and a driver will transfer you to Aswan Airport where you will board a short flight back to Cairo. When you arrive at the airport in Cairo your tour manager will once again be waiting for you and he or she will accompany you to your hotel where you will be spending your last night in Egypt. NOTE: A group tour by coach to the magnificent Abu Simbel temple complex is also available on this day of our 13-day Egypt and Saudi Arabia cultural tours. Meals Included: Breakfast The next phase of your cultural Egypt and Saudi Arabia tour begins today, so at the appropriate time, your tour manager and one of our drivers will fetch you from your hotel and transfer you to Cairo International Airport in time for your flight to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. When you land in Riyadh, you will be met at the airport by one of our travel representatives and you will be transferred to the hotel where you will be spending the next two nights of your Egypt and Saudi Arabia cultural tour. Meals Included: Breakfast Start your day with a good breakfast at your hotel and then enjoy a visit to Diriyyah, an historic site in Riyadh. Diriyyah is believed to be the birthplace of the first Saudi state and is now home to the royal family. The mud-brick walls once protected a bustling desert city that had a rich culture and very strong economy. In 1745, it became the capital and laid the foundation for what is today Saudi Arabia. Take a stroll through the old town to see its ancient ruins, including the ruins of what was once a magnificent palace, houses, and marketplace. Next, you will be taken to see Masmak Fort in Riyadh’s old quarter. This fort was built in 1895 and offers a glimpse into Saudi Arabia’s past. After visiting the fort, you will then visit Dirah Souq, a vibrant market known for its colorful textiles, from silk to luxurious pashminas. Enjoy some time exploring the market and then you’ll be taken to a good local restaurant or some lunch. After you have finished your lunch, enjoy a visit the National Museum, which is a national treasure and also a World Heritage Site. The National Museum has eight galleries that tell the story of Saudi Arabia’s ancient history. The eight galleries cover everything, from the creation of the universe all the way through to the modern era. After your visit to the museum, You will then make your way to Murabba Palace. This vast palace complex was built by King Abdul Aziz in 1937 served as a family dwelling and was made entirely from local materials. The complex includes a number of smaller palaces, service buildings, and the Royal Diwan. Finally, after a long day of sightseeing, you will be returned to your hotel where you will be spending this night of your Egypt and Saudi Arabia itinerary. Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch Enjoy a good breakfast at your hotel and then at the time which will have been confirmed with you, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the airport where you were board a short flight to Al-Ula. On arrival, you will be met at the airport and then you will make your way to Madain Saleh, a World Heritage listed site. This was the southernmost settlement of the Nabatean kingdom. The city once served as a major stop over point on an extremely prosperous trade route. This site covers an area of approximately 2,000 square meters and is home to numerous relics including a number of rock-hewn tombs. While you are in the area, you will also visit Qasr Al Bint, Diwan Tomb, Al Farid Palace, as well as an incredibly well-preserved railway station before heading to a good local restaurant for some lunch. After you have finished your lunch, you will then make your way to Harrat Uairedh. If there is sufficient time you will also visit the area’s highest point where you’ll be able to enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. Enjoy some delicious fresh dates and some Arabic tea or coffee, and then you will be driven to the hotel where you’ll be staying for the next two nights of your Egypt and Saudi Arabia itinerary. Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch Enjoy a good breakfast at your hotel and then your guide will meet you and you will make your way to a world heritage listed site, Dadan and Jabal Ikmah. Jabal Ikmah Is often described as being a massive open-air library due to the countless inscriptions visitors can view. Dadan Is a stone-built city Dates all the way back to the 9th and 8th century BCE And was once the capital of the Dadan and Lihyan kingdoms. The area is also home to more than 10 tombs which have been carved out of rock cliffs. The most famous of these are the Lion Tombs which resemble seated lions. These are the burial sites of people who were once considered elite members of society. Next, you will visit the Old Town, an Oasis, and some local farms. You will also meet with a local family to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with them. Finally, you will make your way to the legendary Elephant Rock before being driven back to your hotel.
