15-Day Egypt, Jordan, Israel Itinerary

DAY 1: Arrive Cairo for your Egypt, Jordan, Israel Itinerary

When you land at the airport in Cairo, your tour manager will be there to meet you, along with one of our drivers who will be waiting outside the airport.

Once you have cleared immigration, you will be assisted in every way possible and then you will be driven to the hotel where you will be staying while you are in Cairo. After you have checked in, your tour manager will discuss your Egypt, Jordan, Israel Itinerary with you and confirm a pick-up time for the following day, and then you will be left to enjoy the remainder of the day as you wish.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids and the GEM

Your Egypt, Jordan, Israel itinerary really gets underway today, so at the time which will have been confirmed with you, your Expert guide and one of our drivers will fetch you from your hotel and drive you to Giza on the outskirts of Cairo to see the fabled Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx. This private tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple which is located in the same ancient necropolis.

It is possible to explore the inside of the pyramids but doing so requires a separate ticket/s, and this is not included in the price of our 15-day Egypt, Jordan, Israel Itinerary. All our tours can be customized, so we can add this to your itinerary if you want us to. Tickets are also available at the site if you decide you want to enter one or more of the pyramids.

Once you’ve completed your pyramid tour, enjoy a delicious lunch at a traditional Egyptian restaurant. Next, proceed to the New Grand Egyptian Museum, also referred to as the Giza Museum, an impressive archaeological site located approximately 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) from the Giza Pyramids.

Following your visit to the GEM you will then be driven back to your hotel and you will be free to enjoy the rest of the day as you wish.

Day 3: Flight to Luxor, Nile Cruise Embarkation and East Bank Tour

At the time which will have been confirmed with you, your tour manager and a driver will fetch you from your hotel and take you to the airport to board a short flight to Luxor. Upon arrival in Luxor, you will again be met at the airport, and you will be taken to board your 5-Star Nile River cruise from Luxor to Aswan. Lunch will be served shortly after boarding and then one of our Expert guides will accompany you and a small group of our other clients on a tour to the Luxor East Bank.

During this tour, you will visit the fabulous Luxor Temple as well as the vast Karnak Temple complex, after which you will return to the cruise ship in time for some afternoon tea. Dinner will be served in the evening, and this night of your Egypt, Jordan, Israel itinerary will be spent in your cabin on the water at Luxor.

Day 4: West Bank Tour and Cruise to Edfu

The 4th day of your Egypt, Jordan, Israel itinerary begins with a good breakfast and a visit to the Luxor West Bank to see the Valley of the Kings which is an ancient royal burial ground where pharaohs and other nobility were laid to rest, including King Tutankhamen. Your tour will also see you visiting the magnificent rock-cut mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon before returning to the cruise ship.

Enjoy lunch and afternoon tea on the Nile while sailing to Edfu via the Esna Lock. Dinner will be served at the usual time, and this night of your 15-day Egypt, Jordan, Israel itinerary will be spent on the water at Edfu.

Day 5: Edfu and Kom Ombo Excursions

Enjoy breakfast aboard the ship, and then your Expert guide will take you to see Edfu Temple which is the best-preserved ancient Egyptian temple ever discovered. After spending some time exploring this site, you will head back to the ship for lunch and a leisurely cruise to Kom Ombo.

On arrival at Kom Ombo, you will visit another famous ancient site which was a twin temple complex that was built and devoted to two different gods, Sobek and Haroeris, the Kom Ombo Temple. After returning to the cruise ship following your tour, you will then continue sailing to Aswan.

There are no further tours scheduled for this day, so you will have the rest of the day to yourself, and you will spend this night of your Egypt, Jordan, Israel itinerary on the water at Aswan.

Day 6: Aswan Tour and Leisure Time

In the morning your guide will take you and the other members of your group for a tour in Aswan, during which you will visit the Unfinished Obelisk, and the amazing Temple of Philae that was dedicated to two goddesses, Hathor and Isis.

Apart from this tour, you will have this day free to enjoy at leisure, and this night of your Egypt, Jordan, Israel itinerary will once again be spent on the water at Aswan.

Day 7: Transfer to Cairo (Optional Abu Simbel Tour)

This day of your Egypt, Jordan, Israel itinerary will see you flying back to Cairo from Aswan, although you will have the option of a tour to the rock-cut temples of Abu Simbel.

When you arrive at the airport in Cairo, you will again be met by your tour manager and one of our drivers, and you will be driven to the hotel where you will overnight for your last night in Egypt.

Day 8: Transfer to Amman in Jordan

The next phase of your Egypt, Jordan, Israel tour begins today, so at the appropriate time, you will be picked up from your hotel, and you will be driven to the airport in time for you catch your flight to Amman in Jordan. When you land in Amman, another one of tour representatives will meet you and then transfer you to the hotel where you will be staying while you are in Amman.

There are no tours scheduled for this day, so once you have checked in at the hotel, you will have the rest of the day to yourself.

Day 9: Gadara and Jerash

This day of your Egypt, Jordan, Israel itinerary will see you visiting two fantastic sites, beginning at Umm Qais (Gadara) which was once a part of a Decapolis that featured 10 cities, and was founded by Alexander the Great. Enjoy breathtaking views of the northern Jordan Valley; the Golan Heights, and the Sea of Galilee.

After spending some time at Gadara, you will then travel to Jerash to see the remains of an ancient Roman city. This is not only the biggest, but also one of the best sites of ancient Roman architecture outside of Italy.

Finally, after a long and enjoyable day, you will be driven back to your hotel and you will have the rest of the day to yourself to enjoy as you wish.

Day 10: Bethany, Madaba and Mount Nebo

Begin this day of your Egypt, Jordan, Israel itinerary with another good hotel breakfast, and then at the confirmed time, you will be picked up from your hotel, and will head to Baptism Site, an area once known as Bethany, and the place where Jesus was baptized by St. John the Baptist. For Catholics, this is one of the 3 most important pilgrimage sites.

Next, you will travel to a town called Madaba where you will visit the Church of St. George to see its famous 6th-century BC mosaic map of Palestine. Your final stop for the day will be at Mount Nebo.

It is believed that Moses was on this mount when he was first shown the Promised Land. Many also believe that he died on the mountain not long after. You will also visit an old monastery before finally heading back to your hotel for the night.

Day 11: Lost City of Petra

Today is set to be one of the biggest highlights of your 15-day Egypt, Jordan, Jerusalem itinerary because today you will be taken to see the Lost City of Petra. Also known as the Rose City of Petra, the site is today recognized as one of the New Wonder of the World. It is a breathtaking city which was carved out of the sides of a long and narrow rock gorge by the Nabatean Arabs during the 6th-century BC.

The Lost City of Petra has featured in a number of Hollywood blockbusters, but seeing this incredible site in pictures or films simply isn’t the same as seeing it in person. Your tour of the site will be with a specialist local guide and will last for 2 to 3 hours. The tour calls for quite a bit walking so for this day of your Egypt, Jordan, Israel itinerary, we highly recommend wearing appropriate footwear. Following your tour, you will then be driven back to your hotel in Amman, a journey that takes roughly two hours.

Day 12: Transfer to Jerusalem

The 3rd and final phase of your Egypt, Jordan, Israel itinerary begins today, so at the confirmed time, you will need to check-out, and then you will be driven border crossing (Allenby Bridge/King Hussein Border). Your new guide will meet up with you, and then drive you to Jerusalem via the Judean Desert. On arrival at Jerusalem, you will be driven directly to the hotel where you will be staying for the last 3 nights of your Egypt, Jordan, Israel itinerary.

Day 13: Holy City and Bethlehem Tour

This day of your Egypt, Jordan, Israel tour focuses on the holy sites of Jerusalem and Bethlehem, with your first stop being a visit the Mount of Olives. From here, you will take a leisurely stroll to the Wailing Wall which is one of the holiest sites in Judaism. If access to Temple Mount is open when you visit, then you will also be taken to see the Dome of the Rock.

Next, you visit Via Dolorosa and follow the path which Jesus is believed to have followed on his way to his crucifixion. The Via Dolorosa ends at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Christians believe that this is the site where Jesus was crucified and later buried.

Enjoy some lunch (not included) and then you will travel to Bethlehem where Jesus was born, and you will visit the Church of the Nativity, and also the Grotto of the Manger. The Church of Nativity is the oldest church in the world which has never been destroyed. Finally, you will travel back to Jerusalem where you will be dropped off at your hotel.

Day 14: Masada and Dead Sea

This day of your Egypt, Jordan, Israel tour begins with a visit to a specialty cosmetics store on the shore of the Dead Sea which is the lowest point on earth. The store has a huge range of cosmetics available, most of which contain mud and/or mineral extracts from the Dead Sea. Next, you will travel along the shoreline until you reach Masada, at which point you will enjoy a cable car ride to the top of the mountain to see the remnants of an ancient fortress that was built by King Herod.

After exploring the ruins on the mountain, you will take the cable car back down again, and then you will have some time to relax and float on the water of the Dead Sea before finally heading back to your hotel for the night.

Day 15: Egypt, Jordan, Israel Itinerary Ends and Final Departure

Unfortunately, your Egypt, Jordan, Israel tour ends today, so at the appropriate time you will need to check-out from your hotel, and then you will be driven to Ben Gurion Airport in time for you to catch your flight back home, with lifelong memories guaranteed.
