DAY 1 – Epic 8-Day Egypt Tour in December Begins
When you arrive in Cairo for your tour in December, one of our representatives will meet you at Cairo International Airport and then you will be driven to the 5-Star hotel where you’ll be staying while you are in Cairo. Once at the hotel, you’ll be assisted with check in, and your tour manager will briefly discuss your itinerary with you. You’ll be offered a free “Welcome” drink, and then you will have the rest of the day to yourself. You can either relax at the hotel, or you can head out and do some exploring on your own.

DAY 2 – Giza Necropolis, Saqqara Necropolis and Memphis
Begin your day with a good hotel breakfast, and then shortly after you have eaten, you will be picked up, and your tour will begin. First, you will be taken to the Giza Pyramids to see one the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Great Pyramid of Khufu. You will also see the pyramids of Khafre (Chephren) and Menkaure (Mykerinos) as well as the Sphinx and the Valley Temple while you are here at the Giza necropolis.
After your tour of the pyramids, you will be taken for a nice lunch at a good local restaurant, and after that you will make your way to the Saqqara necropolis to see the famous Djoser step pyramid which is believed to be the first pyramid ever built.
Next, you will continue on to Memphis to see and explore the remains of what was once the capital of the Old Kingdom
Finally, and a rather long but fascinating day, your guide and your driver will take you back to your hotel, and you will have the rest of the afternoon to yourself.

DAY 3 – Cairo Sightseeing Tour
The 3rd day of your Egypt tour in December once again starts with a good breakfast at your hotel and then at the agreed time, your transport and your Expert tour guide will arrive, and your sightseeing tour in Cairo will begin with a visit to the Egyptian Museum and its famous Treasures Room which houses all the artifacts that were retrieved from the tomb of King Tutankhamen.
After visiting the museum, you will be taken for lunch at a well known local restaurant, and then your next stop will be at the historic Salah El Din Citadel where amongst other things, you will also have the chance to explore the incredible Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque.
Next, you will make your way to Coptic Cairo to see the famous Hanging Church of Cairo, and after that you will visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue.
Your last stop of the day will be at city’s famous Khan el Khalili Bazaar. This bazaar has been open since the 14th century and it is considered to be one of the oldest and biggest bazaars in the Middle East. It honestly is a “must see” attraction, and one which features in almost all of our Egypt tour packages. After spending some time at the bazaar, you will then be dropped off back at your hotel and the rest of the day will be yours to enjoy as you wish.

DAY 4 – Aswan Sightseeing Tour and Leisure Time
Start the 4th day of your Egypt tour in December with another hearty breakfast at your hotel and then you will be checking out so that we can transfer you to the airport for your short flight to Aswan. When you land in Aswan, you will once again be met at the airport, and then you will be taken to board your 5-Star Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor.
Lunch will be served on board the vessel shortly after embarkation, and then it will be time for some sightseeing in Aswan.
First, you will be taken to see Aswan’s ancient granite quarries to see the Unfinished Obelisk, the biggest obelisk ever discovered.
Next will be a very pleasant boat ride to the amazing Temple of Philae which was relocated in its entirety to its current location in order to save it from the rising water of Lake Nasser after the Aswan High Dam was built.
Once you are finished at Philae Temple, you will then return to the ship in time for a good dinner. Later in the evening there will be some entertainment on board the vessel, and you will be spending the first night of your cruise on the water at Aswan.

DAY 5 – Kom Ombo and Edfu Temple Excursions, and on to Esna
After enjoying a 5-Star breakfast aboard ship, you will begin sailing towards Kom Ombo, and on arrival, you will be taken to visit and explore the intriguing ancient Temple of Kom Ombo which was dedicated to two different gods simultaneously. After your tour of this temple, you will then be taken to visit the Crocodile Museum, after which you will return to the ship in time for another good lunch.
After lunch you will be sailing to Edfu where you will enjoy another wonderful shore excursion to explore the Temple of Horus at Edfu. This ancient temple was buried beneath the desert sand for more than 2,000 years, and because of this it is exceptionally well-preserved.
After visiting this site, you will then return to your ship and it will then begin sailing to Esna where you will be spending this night of your cruise on the water. Dinner will be served at the usual time, and there will once again be some on-board entertainment in the evening.

DAY 6 – Cruise to Luxor and Luxor East Bank Tour
As always, a good hearty breakfast will be waiting for you when you wake up, and then your cruise ship will sail to Luxor. Shortly after you arrive, you will be taken to see two of the best ancient Luxor attractions on the East Bank: Luxor Temple and the huge Karnak Temple complex which formed over a period of more than 2,000 years.
After your tour, you will head back to the ship in time for another good lunch, and then you will have the entire afternoon to yourself to enjoy as you wish. Afternoon tea and dinner will be served at the usual times, and there will once again be on-board entertainment in the evening.

DAY 7 – West Bank Tour and Flight to Cairo
This day of your Egypt tour in December will see you flying back to Cairo, but before that happens, first enjoy one last breakfast on the ship, and then it will be time for final disembarkation and an incredible tour on the Luxor West Bank.
Once your tour begins, your first stop will be at Valley of the Kings, an ancient royal necropolis. More than 60 tombs have been discovered here, including the most famous one of them all, that which belonged to King Tutankhamen.
Moving on from the necropolis, you will visit Queen Hatshepsut’s Mortuary Temple which was carved out of the mountainside. Your last stop of the day will be at the Colossi of Memnon, and then you will have some free time in Luxor before being taken to the airport for your flight to Cairo.
As is always the case when you travel with us, you will once again be met at the airport in Cairo, and then you will be escorted to the hotel where you will be spending the last night of your unforgettable Egypt tour in December.

DAY 8 – Your Egypt Tour Ends and Final Departure
Wake up to another delicious breakfast at your 5-Star hotel, and then at the appropriate time your tour manager will meet you and assist you with check-out if need be, and then escort you to Cairo International Airport in time for your flight back home.
