Luxor to Cairo Nile Cruise
Day 1 – Arrival and Overnight in Cairo
On arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met by your tour manager who will offer you any assistance you may need, and then escort you to a luxury hotel in Cairo. After you have checked in, you will be offered a free “Welcome Drink” and your tour manager will discuss your itinerary with you and confirm a pick-up time for your transfer to the airport tomorrow. The remainder of the day will then be yours to enjoy as you wish, and you will be spending the night at the hotel
Day 2 – Flight to Luxor and Mövenpick MS Darakum Embarkation
After a wonderful 5-Star hotel breakfast, your tour manager will arrive at your hotel, and then you will be transferred to the airport in a private air-conditioned vehicle so that you can board your flight to Luxor. On arrival in Luxor, you will once again be met at the airport, and then driven to Luxor port when you will be boarding the splendid Mövenpick MS Hamees.
Enjoy a fine onboard lunch, and have the remainder of the day to yourself. Dinner will be served in the early evening, and then you can enjoy some music in the bar, you can enjoy a few drinks under the stars, or you can simply retire to your cabin for the night.

Day 3 – Sightseeing Extravaganza in Luxor and Belly Dancer Show
Enjoy a wonderful breakfast on board the Mövenpick MS Darakum and then enjoy a truly astonishing day crammed full of sightseeing opportunities. In the morning you will be taken to visit Luxor’s West Bank where you will have ample time to explore the Valley of the Kings, an ancient necropolis which is home to more than 60 royal tombs, including the tomb of King Tutankhamen.
Next, you will enjoy an unforgettable visit to the rock-cut mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most famous and most visited ancient relics. With a fun-filled morning behind you, it will be time for a delicious lunch back on the boat, and then everyone will be taken to visit Luxor’s East Bank, to explore Karnak Temple, a sprawling ancient temple city that was constructed over a period of about 2,000 years. After this, you will visit Luxor Temple which is yet another historical wonder which every visitor should see.
Finally, you will once again board the Mövenpick MS Darakum, and after you’ve had time to freshen up, a scrumptious dinner will be served, and a little bit later you will be able to enjoy an authentic Egyptian Belly Dance show onboard. Tonight you will be sleeping on the water at Luxor.

Day 4 – Cruise to Qena with Onboard Entertainment
Today, the Mövenpick MS Darakum will be making an early start, departing from Luxor at 04h00, and it will sail to Qena, with an excellent breakfast being served along the way. Shortly after you arrive at Qena, everyone will be taken to visit the remarkable Abydos Temple for some amazing photo taking opportunities.
After your temple visit, it will time for everyone to return to the vessel for another hearty lunch, after which you will be taken on another excursion, this time to the famous Dendera Temple. Because this site is not on the main tourist trail, it is unlikely that you will see crowds of people, and this alone makes Dendara Temple a wonderful place to visit.
Once everyone has had ample time to explore the site, you will head back to the ship, where you will have some time to yourself before dinner is served. After dinner, there will be a Contest Party on board, and all passengers are encouraged to partake. Today will end with you enjoying a good night’s rest in your cabin, on the water at Qena.

Day 5 – Cruise to Sohag with Onboard Entertainment
Day 5 of your 11 Day Luxor to Cairo Mövenpick MS Darakum Nile cruise begins at 05h00 when the vessel will begin cruising to Sohag, with breakfast once again being served along the way. This is a lovely cruise which will see the boat passing beneath the impressive Naga Hammadi Bridge before it moves through the Abu Hamar’s Lock. Lunch will also be served along the way, and this will be followed by a treasure hunt game on board the vessel. Later in the day, dinner will be served, and the Mövenpick MS Hamees be arriving at Sohag at around this time or a little bit later. Tonight you will be sleeping on the water at Sohag.

Day 6 – Cruise to Minya with Onboard Entertainment
Today will be another relaxing day spent on the water while the Mövenpick MS Darakum sails from Sohag to Minya. This journey will see the boat passing beneath the Sohag Bridge, and later in the day, it will also have to pass through Asyuit’s Lock, an event which never fails to fascinate passengers.
Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner out on the water during this wonderfully relaxing cruise. For entertainment, there will be a fun-filled Black and White Party, and the day will end with everyone enjoying a wonderful night’s sleep in the luxurious cabins on the water at Minya.

Day 7 – Sightseeing Off the Beaten Track
Wake up and enjoy a hearty breakfast, and prepare yourself for a day of non-stop sightseeing which many tourists aren’t fortunate enough to experience. At about 07h00, you will disembark from the boat in Minya, and you will be taken on a tour to Tell El Amarna where you will be visiting 5 different tombs: the Tomb of Ahmose (EA3), Tomb of Meryre (EA4), Tomb of Pentu (EA5), Tomb of Panehesy (EA6), and finally, the Royal Tomb of Akhenaten (EA26). After this, you will also visit the Great Palace of King Akhenaten and both the Small and Great temples of Aten.
At around 12h30, everyone will be given a lunchbox, and you will be taken to visit another two marvelous ancient sites, Tuna El Gebel and Ashmunein. After a busy day full of sightseeing, you will finally head back to the Mövenpick MS Darakum where you will be able to enjoy a delicious dinner, a very enjoyable Folkloric Show, and a well-deserved rest on the water at Minya.

Day 8 – Sightseeing Cruise to Beni Suif
Enjoy breakfast on board the ship at Minya, and then at about 08h00, it will be time to disembark for another fascinating tour, this time to visit Beni Hassan. Today you will be visiting the Tomb of Baqet III, the Tomb of Khety, the Tomb of Amenemhet, and the Tomb of Khnumhotep II.
After your tour of these ancient relics, everyone will return to the cruise ship, and it will begin sailing to Beni Suif, with a good lunch being served along the way. Later in the day, shortly after dinner, you will be welcome to enjoy a real Galabya Party on board. Your cruise ship should also be arriving at around this time, and you will be spending the night on the water at Beni Suif.

Day 9 – Sightseeing and Cruise to Cairo
Wake and enjoy another 5-Star breakfast, and then at around 08h00 everyone will disembark, and you will be taken to Fayoum to see another two fabulous ancient sites which many tourists never get to see, the Dahshur Pyramids, and the Meidum Pyramid. After your tour, and after everyone has had ample time to take plenty of photos, you will be escorted back to the Mövenpick MS Darakum, which will soon be departing for a wonderful 5-hour cruise to Cairo.
This is well and truly a fascinating trip and you will once again be enjoying a first-class lunch and a first-class dinner on the water. Tonight you will be sleeping on board the ship while it is tied up in Cairo.

Day 10 – Sightseeing in Cairo
Enjoy a good breakfast on the boat, and then at about 08h00, you will be disembarking for a fantastic day tour in Cairo. Your tour will begin with a visit to the world-renowned Egyptian Museum where one could literally spend an entire day or more admiring the endless number of ancient relics. While at the museum you will also be able to go inside the Treasures Room which is reserved for displaying all the treasures that were recovered from King Tutankhamen’s tomb when it was discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter.
After your visit to the museum, you will enjoy a good lunch, and then you will travel to the Giza Plateau to see the infamous Giza Pyramids and the iconic Sphinx. Enjoy ample at the pyramids, and then everyone will return to the boat in time for you to enjoy a good dinner and some Takht, which is an authentic type of Oriental music. You will be spending the final night of your cruise vacation on board the ship in Cairo

Day 11 – Disembarkation and Final Departure
Wake up and enjoy one last breakfast on board the magnificent Mövenpick MS Darakum, and then it will soon be time for you to disembark.
