5-Day MS Steigenberger Minerva Cruise Itinerary

Whether you arrive in Luxor by air or by rail, one of our tour representatives will be there to meet and greet you, after which you will be driven in a modern air-conditioned vehicle to the point of embarkation for your Nile River cruise.

On arrival, you will board the deluxe MS Steigenberger Minerva cruise boat on which you will be staying for the duration of your cruise. After you have checked in, and you have had time to settle into your cabin, you will be served your first delicious lunch on board the cruiser.

After lunch, the action begins with an fascinating excursion to the Luxor East Bank to visit the remarkably well-preserved Luxor Temple, and the vast Karnak Temple complex which took around 2,000 years to construct.

After visiting these amazing sites, you will return to your cruiser where you will be served a fine dinner in the evening. Tonight will be spent on board, while moored in Luxor.

Wake up to a hearty onboard breakfast, and then you will be taken on an excursion to the Luxor West Bank.

Here you will visit one of Egypt’s most famous attractions, the Valley of Kings which is home to more than 70 ancient royal tombs, including that of King Tut.

Next up will be a visit to the equally as impressive Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon before returning to the Steigenberger Minerva for a wonderful onboard lunch.

After lunch the boat will leave Luxor and set sail for Esna where it will cross the Lock and continue on its journey to Edfu where you will be having dinner and spending the night on board.

After a good breakfast on board the boat, you’ll disembark for an excursion to the beautiful Temple of Horus at Edfu, then you will return to your river cruiser, and it will depart for Kom Ombo.

Lunch will be served along the way, and on arrival, you will be taken to see the famous Kom Ombo Temple.

Finally, your boat will begin making its way to Aswan, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening. Enjoy another delicious dinner and another comfortable night’s sleep on board the boat in Aswan.

Wake up to another delightful breakfast on the water, and then you will be taken to visit famous High Dam of Aswan, the intriguing Unfinished Obelisk, and finally one of Egypt’s most enduring ancient temples, the Temple of Philae.

Enjoy a good lunch and another fine dinner on board the boat, and spend the last night of your cruise on the quiet waters in Aswan.

Sadly, day-5 marks the end of you 5-day Luxor to Aswan Nile cruise, but it doesn’t end until after you have had another lovely breakfast on board the boat.

After breakfast it will be time to check-out and disembark, and one of our tour representatives will escort you to Aswan Airport or Aswan Railway Station where everyone will say their final goodbyes.
