Day 1: Transfer to Luxor and Luxor East Bank Tour

On the day that your two day trip to Luxor from Safaga Port is scheduled to begin, our tour representative will meet you at the port exit gate holding a placard with your name written on it. Once you have met up with each other you will then drive to Luxor in one of our deluxe air conditioning vehicles. The drive from Safaga Port to Luxor takes roughly 3 hours, usually with a short break along the way if requested.

On arrival in Luxor you will make your way to the east bank of the Nile River where you will visit two absolutely magnificent ancient monuments. Your first stop will be at Karnak Temple which was dedicated to the gods Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. The complex consisted of multiple temples and other structures such as chapels. It remains the largest place of worship ever built by man and is today one of the most visited ancient monuments in Egypt.

Day 2: Luxor West Bank Tour and Return to Safaga

Wake up and enjoy a good breakfast at your hotel and then at the confirmed time your guide will arrive at your hotel and assist you with check out. Once you have checked out from the hotel you will then make your way to see three more breathtaking ancient monuments which are located on the west bank of the Nile River.

Your first stop will be at the towering Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic stone statues of Amenhotep III which once guard at the entrance to his mortuary temple. Today, virtually nothing remains of the temple complex besides these two giant stone statues.

After visiting the Colossi of Memnon, you will then make your way to the Valley of Kings where a total of 62 tombs have been discovered and excavated, including the tomb of King Tutankhamun. Many of the tombs in the valley were beautifully decorated in antiquity, and some still house various artifacts. Our two day trip to Luxor from Safaga Port includes visiting three of the tombs in the valley. If you want to visit additional tombs this can easily be arranged although you will need to purchase additional tickets at the site.

Your final stop for the day will be at the breathtaking Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, with its iconic terraced design. It is believed to be one of the grandest temples ever built by the ancient Egyptians.
