Al Mamzar Beach Park – Fun and Sun for Everyone in Dubai

Al Mamzar Beach Park is an expansive outdoor area which is perfectly suited for families, couples, or even singles who just want to spend some time enjoying themselves out in the sun next to the ocean. It is located in the Deira area of Dubai. The area is a place where you can go to relax and to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city when you have some time to spare, and is therefore not included in our standard range of Egypt and Dubai tours.

The park is beautifully laid out, with huge lush green gardens, swimming pools, cycling paths, jogging and walking paths, a skate park, picture-perfect beaches, and a whole lot more.

Al Mamzar Beach Park – An Oasis of Greenery in the City of Gold

While nearly all modern cities have Green Areas, not many would be able to compete with Al Mamzar Beach Park, but then again, this is Dubai after all. The park is home to acres of lush green fields, along with an estimated 300 coconut trees; 1,600 palm trees, and more than 6,000 different types of cultivated plants.

All this beautiful greenery provides a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere where it is so easy to forget just how close you are to the hustle and bustle of the city. The park is not one of the Dubai main attractions, and as a result, you will rarely see it mentioned in tour itineraries, including our own Dubai and Egypt vacation packages.

Good Clean Fun for Everyone

The Al Mamzar Beach Park covers an expansive area, and within this beautifully maintained and landscaped area, visitors can find a wide variety of activities suitable for both adults and children alike.

For those who want to enjoy some sunbathing and swimming, the park is home to five immaculate sandy beaches. However, if you would prefer to stay away from the sandy areas, there are also two excellent swimming pools. Sun umbrellas and sun lounges can of course also be rented on site.

If lounging around in the sun all day is not your cup of tea, don’t worry because there are lots of other activities to choose from. Why not join the kids for a kick-about on the park’s well maintained football pitch, or revisit your youth with a visit to the skate park. Or, if you are in the mood for some adrenaline-fueled fun, why not indulge in some jet skiing or one of the other water sports which are on offer?

Dealing with your Appetite

While Al Mamzar Beach Park has many things going for it, one of its biggest draws is the numerous grilling/BBQ areas which are scattered throughout the park. As with everything else at Al Mamzar Beach Park, the grilling/BBQ areas are very well maintained, and each area has its own flame broiler, tables and chairs.

In fact, Al Mamzar Beach Park is probably the best place in all of Dubai for those who want to enjoy a picnic.

While there are some cafes and restaurants at the park, there are not as many as one might expect. Most people who visit the park take their own supplies with so they can enjoy a picnic.

Ladies Only Days

Unlike nearly all other Dubai Tourist Attractions, Al Mamzar Beach Park has a policy in place which stipulates that the park is off limits to males over the age of 6 on Mondays and Wednesdays. This rule has been put in place so as to allow women to enjoy the park in privacy. It also allows women to swim in Swimwear which is something local women cannot and also don’t want to do in the presence of men.

Cabanas and Chalets

For those visitors which want more of a VIP sort of experience, there are numerous cabanas dotted around the park which offer guaranteed private seating and more. Al Mamzar Beach Park is also home to more than 100 meticulously maintained chalets which can be rented on a daily basis. These are great for families who would like to enjoy a full day at the park, but not an entire day outdoors.

As is to be expected, chalet rental is not included in the basic entrance fee, but instead, they need to be rented at the park on the day you visit.

Visiting Al Mamzar with Egypt Tours Plus

If you would like to spend a day out at Al Mamzar Park, it is worth noting that it is best to get there early in the day before the crowds start arriving. The park is huge so it never really feels overcrowded, but it can and often does get very busy from about 09h30 onwards, particularly on Fridays when many locals have the day off. The same applies during all public holidays, as well as to school holidays to a certain extent.

There is simply no denying the fact that Al Mamzar Beach Park is a great place to spend a day or two during your stay in Dubai. However, because most of our tours at Egypt Tours Plus are geared up for sightseeing tourists, the park is not a standard fixture in our Egypt and Dubai Tours.
