
8-Day Nuut or Nuun Dahabiya Cruise

Day 1: Luxor Sightseeing and Nuut or Nuun Nile Cruise Embarkation
When you arrive in Luxor for your Nuut or Nuun Dahabiya Nile cruise package, we will be at the airport to meet and assist you. You will then be taken to see the ruins of the massive Karnak Temple complex. From here, your guide and driver will take you to the West Bank to visit the Valley of Kings. More than 60 tombs have been uncovered here, including King Tut’s tomb.

Your sightseeing tour will end shortly before midday, at which point you will be taken to board your 5-Star Nuut or Nuun Nile cruise. Shortly after boarding, your Dahabiya will set sail for Esna with lunch being served along the way. Rather than sailing all the way to Esna, you will stop a short distance away from the Esna Lock and the Dahabiya will drop anchor near El Hegz Island. Enjoy the first night of your Nuut or Nuun Dahabiya Nile cruise on the water near the island.

Day 2: El Kab Tour and Edfu Temple Tour
Enjoy your breakfast while your Dahabiya is sailing to the city of El Kab. On arrival, your guide will take you ashore to see some ancient wall of an unknown city. Next, you will visit the ruins of an ancient temple and some rock-cut tombs dating back to the New Kingdom era. After your tour, you will return to your Dahabiya and it will set sail for Edfu.

Enjoy lunch on the river while sailing. When you reach Edfu there will be a horse-drawn carriage waiting to take you for a ride through the busy and bustling village to see the Temple of Horus. This is the most well-preserved ancient temple in Egypt. After you get back to your Dahabiya, it will set sail for Sheikh Rehan Island. Just before the sun sets, your Dahabiya will drop anchor and you will spend this night of your Nuut or Nuun Dahabiya Nile cruise near the island.

Day 3: Gebel Silsela Tour and Cruise Towards Kom Ombo
Your Dahabiya will make an early start today and it will sail to Gebel Silsela. On arrival, your guide will accompany you on a visit to the ancient Pharaonic quarries of Silsela and an unknown rock-cut Temple of Hormoheb. From there, you will make your way to the top of a nearby hill (Gebel Silsela) to enjoy some spectacular views before returning to your Dahabiya.

Once back on board, your Dahabiya will set off in the direction of Kom Ombo. Shortly before it gets there, it will drop anchor at the nearby Al Bashir Island where it will remain for the night. This evening you will enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner at the edge of the island.

Day 4: Day Cruise to Aswan
This is set to be one of the most relaxing days of your cruise. There are no onshore excursions scheduled for this day of your Nuut or Nuun Dahabiya Nile cruise. Instead, the entire day will be spent sailing to the West Bank of Aswan.

Day 5: Philae Temple Tour and Sail to Herdiab Island
Shortly after breakfast today, your guide will take you ashore to see the amazing Temple of Philae. Philae Temple was dedicated to the goddess, Isis. It originally stood on a tiny island which now lies beneath the surface of Lake Nasser as a result of the Aswan High Dam being built. The temple was relocated to higher ground in its entirety in order to save it.

Once you are back on board your Dahabiya, it will then set sail for Kom Ombo but it will stop before it gets there, and it will drop anchor near Herdiab Island. This night of your Nuut or Nuun Dahabiya Nile cruise will be spent on the water near the Island.

Day 6: Kom Ombo Temple Tour and Sailing
Enjoy breakfast and lunch on the river while sailing to Kom Ombo. When you get to Kom Ombo your guide with take you ashore to see Kom Ombo Temple. This temple is unique because it was the only twin temple ever built by the Ancient Egyptians. It is essentially two identical temples in one. One was dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god and the other was dedicated to Horus the falcon-headed god.

After your tour, your Dahabiya will sail in the direction of Edfu. Rather than sailing into Edfu, it will drop anchor a short distance away to ensure another quiet and tranquil night can be enjoyed.

Day 7: Day Cruise to Luxor
There are no excursions scheduled for today. Instead, you get to enjoy a day of uninterrupted relaxation while sailing peacefully along the Nile towards Luxor via the Esna Lock. Tonight, which is the last night of your Nuut or Nuun Dahabiya Nile cruise, will be spent on the water at Luxor.

Day 8: Disembarkation and Transfer to Luxor Airport
Enjoy breakfast as usual, and then it will be time to check-out and disembark from your Dahabiya. Once you have disembarked, we will then drive you to Luxor Airport for your final departure via Cairo
