10-Day Egypt Wheelchair Accessible Trip

Day 1: Welcome to the Land of the Pharaohs

When you arrive at Cairo International Airport for your 10-day Egypt wheelchair accessible trip, your tour manager will be standing by to meet and greet you, and to offer you any assistance you may require. Once you clear immigration you will then be transferred to your hotel in one of the clean and modern wheelchair friendly vehicles.

On arrival at your hotel your tour manager will assist you with check in and then go over your itinerary with you to confirm pick up times for your upcoming tours. After this you’ll be left to enjoy the rest of the day as you wish.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel. At the scheduled time, your personal English-speaking guide and one of our drivers will pick you up, and you’ll head to the renowned Giza Necropolis. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to see the three iconic Giza Pyramids, the Valley Temple, and the Great Sphinx.

All attractions at this site are wheelchair accessible, and your guide will be on hand to provide assistance as needed. After your exploration of the pyramids, you’ll be taken to an authentic Egyptian restaurant to enjoy lunch.

Following your meal, you’ll continue to the world-famous Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza.

Day 3: Alexandria Sightseeing Tour

Begin this day of your Egypt wheelchair accessible trip with another good hotel breakfast and then it will be time for you to check out. Your guide and one of our drivers will fetch you at the confirmed time, and then you will begin the journey to Alexandria, a trip which takes roughly 3 hours.

On arrival in Alexandria you will be taken to see a number of sites, including Pompey’s Pillar and the majestic Qaitbey Citadel. This imposing citadel was built by Sultan Qaitbay in the 15th century.

After your sightseeing tour, you will then be taken to check in at the five-star hotel where you will be spending this night of your vacation.

Day 4: Return to Cairo

Enjoy a good breakfast at your hotel, and then at the time which will have been confirmed with you, you will be met and assisted with check-out, and then you will be driven back to Cairo, a journey which typically also takes about 3 hours.

On arrival in Cairo you will be driven directly to the hotel where you’ll be spending this night of the Egypt wheelchair accessible trip. There are no sightseeing tours today so you’ll be free to enjoy the rest of the day as you wish.

Day 5: Flight to Luxor and Luxor East Bank Tour

Shortly after you have finished your breakfast it will be time to check out from your hotel so that we can transfer you to the airport in time for you to board a short domestic flight to Luxor. When you land at Luxor Airport you will again be met and then you will be taken to check in at the five-star hotel where you will be staying for the next two nights of your Egypt wheelchair accessible trip.

You will have some time to freshen up and then you will be picked up and you’ll be taken to visit two magnificent ancient monuments on the east bank of the Nile River. First, you will visit the massive Karnak Temple complex. Although only ruins remain, there is still so much to see at this incredible site which was built over a period of more than 2,000 years.

Next, you will visit the smaller but far more well preserved Luxor Temple. Having your own personal English speaking guide with you when you visit these two monuments will make your experience so incredibly rewarding.

After your tour of Luxor Temple, you will then be driven back to your hotel and you will have the remainder of the day to yourself to enjoy as your wish.

Day 6: Luxor West Bank Sightseeing

Enjoy a good breakfast at your hotel and then at the time which will have been confirmed with you, you will be picked up and you will be taken to see two more ancient sites. Your first stop will be at the breathtaking Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This temple is largely considered to be the grandest temples ever built by the ancient Egyptians.

Your next stop will be at the Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic rock statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III. These two giant statues once stood at the entrance way to the pharaoh’s mortuary temple. Today, however, virtually no trace of the temple remains.

Following your tour you will then be taken to a good quality local restaurant for some lunch. Once you have finished enjoying your meal you will then be transferred back to your hotel where you will be spending this night of your Egypt wheelchair accessible trip.

Day 7: Transfer to Aswan by Road

Shortly after breakfast you will check out from your hotel and then you will be driven to Aswan in one of our comfortable and modern wheelchair-friendly vehicles. The journey from Luxor to Aswan takes roughly 5 hours.

When you arrive in Aswan, you will be taken for lunch at a good local restaurant and then you will visit the absolutely charming Nubian Village. Nubian Village is best known for its many brightly colored houses and the warm hospitality of the locals.

After your tour you will then be driven to the hotel where you’ll be spending this night of your Egypt wheelchair accessible trip.

Day 8: Abu Simbel Temples

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel, and then at 10h30 you will be picked up and you will drive to Abu Simbel to see the spectacular Abu Simbel Temples. Constructed during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II, these two massive rock-cut temples are without a doubt two of Egypt’s most breathtaking ancient monuments.

Enjoy lunch at a good quality local restaurant and then it will be time for the drive back to Aswan, a journey which takes approximately 4 hours. On arrival in Aswan, you will be taken directly to your hotel where you will once again be spending the night.

Day 9: Transfer to Cairo by Air

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and then at the confirmed time you will check out and you will be transferred to the airport to board a short domestic flight to Cairo. On arrival at the airport in Cairo you will be met by your tour manager who will then escort you to the hotel where you’ll be spending the last night of your 10-day Egypt wheelchair accessible trip.

Day 10: Egypt Wheelchair Accessible Trip Ends and Final Departure

Enjoy one last breakfast at your hotel and then at the appropriate time you will be picked up from your hotel and you will be driven to Cairo International Airport in time for you to board your flight out of Egypt. Your 10-day Egypt wheelchair accessible trip has now come to an end, but the memories you will have accumulated will remain with you forever.
