8-Day Luxury Small Boat Nile Cruise and Cairo Highlights Tour

Your tour manager and one of our drivers will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport when you arrive for your Cairo tour and your luxury small boat Nile cruise break, and they will then transfer you to the 5-Star hotel where you will be staying while you are in Cairo.

When you get to the hotel, your tour manager will ensure a smooth check-in and then confirm a pick-up time for the following day’s tour. After this, you will be left on your own to enjoy the rest of your day as you wish.

Enjoy a nourishing breakfast at your hotel before departing with your personal guide to the Giza Plateau. There, you’ll begin your exploration of one of the world’s Seven Wonders — the Great Pyramids of Giza. Visit the Sphinx and Valley Temple, then enjoy lunch at a traditional Egyptian restaurant.

Later, head to the newly built Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), situated about 2 kilometres (1.2 miles) from the pyramids.

Return to your hotel for a restful evening in Cairo.

Following breakfast, your expert guide will escort you to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, which houses Egypt’s royal mummies and a fascinating collection chronicling the nation’s vast history.

Continue to Old Cairo to explore its ancient churches before stopping for lunch at a local eatery. In the afternoon, visit the majestic Salah El-Din Citadel, where you’ll tour the grand Mohammed Ali Mosque and enjoy sweeping views across Cairo.

The time for your luxury small boat Nile cruise has arrived, so at the confirmed time, you will check out from your hotel and then you will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Aswan (included in tour price). When you land in Aswan, you will once again be met at the airport and then driving to the dock where you will board your beautiful Dahabiya river yacht at about 12:00 PM.

Once everyone is on board, it will then sail to Kom Ombo. Lunch will be served aboard the vessel during your cruise. On arrival at Kom Ombo, your guide will then take you to see the fascinating Kom Ombo Temple complex which is essentially two temples in one. One half of this complex was dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god, while the other half was dedicated to Horus the falcon-headed god.

Once everyone is back on board the boat, it will then sail to Beshir Island. Enjoy a delicious dinner in the evening, and spend the first night of your luxury small boat Nile cruise on the water near Beshir Island.

Also known as the Temple of Horus, this is the best-preserved ancient temple in all of Egypt. After your tour, enjoy another good lunch while sailing peacefully towards El Kab Village.

Your Dahabiya will dock at El Kab Village and your guide will then take you to see the ancient El Kab Temple. After your tour, you will sail towards El Hegz Island near Esna. Karnak was expanded and added to by numerous pharaohs over a period of more than 2,000 years. To this day, it is the largest place of worship ever built.

Valley of the Kings, on the other hand, is a huge ancient necropolis where pharaohs, nobles and other very prominent figures were laid to rest in tombs during the New Kingdom era. More than 60 tombs have been discovered here, with the most famous one being the tomb of King Tutankhamen.

After your tour, you will then be driven to Luxor Airport to board a flight back to Cairo. When you land in Cairo, your tour manager and one of our drivers will meet you, and then transfer you to the 5-Star hotel where you will be staying for the last night of you 8-day luxury small boat Nile cruise vacation.
