4-Day Christmas or New Year in Egypt Aboard MS Salacia [Group Tour]

On arrival in Aswan, one of our tour representatives will be standing by to meet and greet you at the airport or at Aswan railway station. You will then be driven in a modern air-conditioned vehicle to the place where you will board you 5-Star Nile River cruise ship which will be taking you on your magical cruise along the Nile River to Luxor.

After you have boarded; checked in, and settled into your cabin, you will be served a lovely lunch on board, and then one of our Expert tour guides will take you and a small group of our other clients to visit the famous Granite Quarries to see the Unfinished Obelisk, and then finally you’ll head off to visit the indescribable Temple of Philae.

After your tour is over, you will head back to the cruise ship and you will have some free time for yourself before dinner is served in the evening. Enjoy the first night of your New Year in Egypt 2020 break on the water at Aswan

Wake up to a hearty onboard breakfast as you sail peacefully along the Nile to Kom Ombo where you will visit the Temple of Sobek and Haeroris, the two ancient gods to which this magnificent temple was devoted to.

Once everyone has seen everything there is to see at the temple, you will return to the cruise and a good lunch will be served, after which you will begin sailing towards Edfu where you will be spending this night of your cruise in your cabin on the water.

Shortly after breakfast, your Expert tour guide will escort you on an excursion to see the Temple of Horus which is the best-preserved ancient temple ever discovered in Egypt.

After this tour ends, you will return to the ship and it will start sailing to Luxor. Lunch will be served along the way, and you will have the rest of the afternoon to yourself.

Dinner will be served aboard the vessel at the usual time, and this even there will also be an authentic Egyptian Belly Dance show on the ship. This night of your New Year in Egypt 2020 break is also the last night of your cruise, and you will be spending it on the water at Luxor.

Today once again kicks off with a nice wholesome breakfast, and then it will be time for final disembarkation. After you have checked out and disembarked you will enjoy a visit to the East Bank and West Bank of Luxor. First, you will be visiting the East Bank where you will be taken to see the vast Karnak Temple complex, followed by a visit to the astonishingly well-preserved Luxor Temple.

Next, you will visit the West Bank, with your first stop being at Valley of the Kings, an ancient royal necropolis. More than 60 tombs have been discovered here, including the most famous one, that which belonged to King Tutankhamen.

Moving on from the necropolis, you will visit Queen Hatshepsut’s 15th century mortuary temple which was carved out of the mountainside.

Your last stop of the day will be at the Colossi of Memnon, and then you will have some free time for shopping in Luxor until it is time for your train or your flight. Of course, as is always the case with us, we will drive you to the train station or airport at the appropriate time.
