9-Day Trip to Egypt from USA

DAY 1 – Depart for your Trip to Egypt from USA
Today you will board your flight to Egypt from USA. Don’t forget to make sure you have your passport with you before traveling to the airport.
DAY 2 – Arrival at Cairo International Airport and Hotel Transfer
When you arrive at the airport in Cairo, your tour manager will be waiting for you. He or she will hand you your entry visa for Egypt and once you get stamped into the country at immigration, you will then head to one of our deluxe air-conditioned vehicles. Our driver will then drive you to the hotel where you will be staying while in Cairo.
Your tour manager will assist you with check-in and then review your itinerary with you, and also confirm pick up times for your upcoming tours. After this, you are left to enjoy the rest of the day as you wish.
DAY 3 – Giza Pyramids Tour and Egyptian Museum
Enjoy your breakfast and then your guide and your driver will meet you at your hotel, and take you to Giza for your tour of Egypt’s legendary Giza Pyramids and Sphinx. You will also visit the Valley Temple which is located on the same site. Visit the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaura, then visit the Valley temple before strolling over to see the Sphinx.
After you tour at the pyramids, you will be taken for lunch at a good local restaurant, after which you will visit the world famous Egyptian Museum in the heart of Cairo. The Egyptian museum is home to more than 100,000 artifacts that represent more than 5,000 years of Egyptian history.
After an enlightening tour of the museum, your guide and driver will return you to your hotel and you will have the rest of the day for yourself.
NOTE: Visitors are now allowed to take photographs in the Egyptian Museum but you will be charged a small fee to use a standalone camera. There is no fee for using mobile phone cameras.

DAY 4 – Flight to Luxor, Cruise Embarkation and Luxor Tour
Today begins with an early morning breakfast and transfer to Cairo Airport where you will board a short flight to Luxor. When you land in Luxor, one of our Expert guides and a driver will be waiting for you. You will have some time to explore this ancient city, and then you will visit the ancient Karnak Temple complex, Egypt’s second-most visited archaeological site.
Following you visit to Karnak, you will cross over to the west bank of the Nile where you will visit the famed Valley of Kings. This is an ancient royal necropolis, and home to more than 60 rock-hewn tombs, some very basic, and some incredible elaborate. Some of the more famous tombs include that of Pharaoh Ramses VI and that of King Tutankhamun.
After Valley of the Kings, you are then taken to board you 5-star Dahabiya Nile cruise. Enjoy a delicious freshly prepared lunch while sailing towards Esna. In the evening, enjoy another delicious meal on the river. This night of your 9-day trip to Egypt from USA will be spent on the water near Esna.

DAY 5 – Esna to Edfu with Tour at Al Kab
Your Dahabiya will set sail early in the morning and it will pass through the Esna Lock. Have breakfast out on the river while enjoying the picturesque views. When your Dahabiya reached Al Kab village it will tie up, and you will be taken to see the ancient Al Kab Temple, as well as some ancient walls and rock cut tombs dating back to the New Kingdom era.
After some sightseeing, you will return to your Dahabiya by way of a leisurely stroll through Al Kab village with its many mud brick homes. Once back on you Dahabiya, it will depart for Edfu, with a lovely lunch served along the way.
On arrival at Edfu, you will leave your Dahabiya and you will board a horse drawn carriage ride through this rural town until you reach Edfu Temple. This is Egypt’s best preserved ancient temple. It dates back to the Greco-Roman era and was dedicated to Horus the falcon-headed god.
After your tour of the temple, your carriage will take you back to your waiting Dahabiya, and then it will soon start sailing towards Sheikh Rehan Island. Enjoy the spending passing scenery and then shortly before sunset your Dahabiya will drop anchor a short distance from the island.
Enjoy you delicious dinner on the river amid wonderfully atmospheric surrounding, and spend this night of your trip to Egypt from USA on the tranquil waters of the Nile near Sheikh Rehan Island.

DAY 6 – Sheikh Rehan Island to Al Bashir Island with Tour at Gebel El-Silsila
Begin the 6th day of your trip to Egypt with another delightful breakfast while you sail Gebel El-Silsila. On arrival at the ancient quarries you will disembark, and you will be taken to see the ancient and somewhat mystical Temple of Hormoheb. When you are done at the temple, you will then be taken for a leisurely hike up Silsela Mount to enjoy truly breathtaking views.
After enjoying the views and a short break, you will make your way back to your Dahabiya and it will sail to Al Bashir Island with lunch served along the way. Later in the day, enjoy some afternoon tea on the sun deck while enjoying a spectacular sunset.
Tonight you will have a delicious BBQ dinner on the edge of the Island, and you will this night of your trip to Egypt from USA on the silent waters of the Nile near Al Bashir Island.

DAY 7 – Al Bashir Island to Aswan with Tour at Kom Ombo
Enjoy another appetizing breakfast on the river, this time while you are sailing to Kom Ombo. When you arrive at Kom Ombo you will leave the Dahabiya and you will take a slow stroll through the town until you reach the ancient Temple of Kom Ombo.
Kom Ombo Temple is essentially two temples in one, with two symmetric entrances, halls, and sanctuaries. It was built this way because it was dedicated to two different gods: Sobek and Haroeris. It is the only twin temple complex ever discovered in Egypt.
Return to your Dahabiya after your visit to the temple, and enjoy an appetizing lunch while sailing silently along the Nile to Aswan. Enjoy another excellent dinner in the evening, and spend this night of your trip to Egypt from USA on the water at Aswan.

DAY 8 – Cruise Disembarkation, Cooking Class at Zeyara Restaurant and Flight to Cairo
Enjoy one last breakfast on board the Dahabiya, and then you will check-out and disembark, and then one of our tour representatives and one of our drivers will transfer you to Aswan Airport where you will board a flight back to Cairo.
When arrive in Cairo, we meet at the airport, and we take you to the hotel where you will be staying for your last night in Egypt. In the evening you will be picked up again and you will be taken to the very popular Zeyara Restaurant for a cooking class and dinner. During your cooking class you will learn how to make Koshari, Egypt’s much-loved national dish.
The main ingredients in Koshari are rice, macaroni, and lentils which are then mixed together before being topped with spiced tomato sauce and garlic vinegar. Finally, the dish is garnished with chickpeas and crispy fried onions before being served. After your cooking class, you will get to enjoy your own Koshari dinner before being transferred back to your hotel.

DAY 9 – Trip to Egypt from USA Ends and Final Departure
Sadly, your 9-day trip to Egypt from USA has come to an end. Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, and then at the appropriate time, your tour manager and one of our drivers will meet you at your hotel and then transfer you to Cairo International Airport in time for you to board your flight back home.
