Mahmya Island Snorkeling Itinerary

On the day your Mahmya Island snorkeling trip is booked for, one of our tour representatives will meet you at your hotel at about 08h00. They will drive you to the marina in one of our deluxe air-conditioned vehicles. When you get to the marina, you will board one of two Mahmya cruise yachts. Once everyone is on board, the yacht will start sailing towards Mahmya Island. It typically takes about one hour to reach the island which is located on the southern shores of the Giftun Island National Park.

Because there are so many coral reefs in the waters around Mahmya Island, your yacht will moor at one of the buoys which are located a short distance from the shore. A smaller boat will then ferry you to the island. Once you reach the island, you will be free to enjoy your day as you wish. Mahmya Island snorkeling is immensely popular, so you will likely see many people in the water. However, there are enough reefs for everyone to enjoy.

Although our Mahmya Island snorkeling trip is primarily about snorkeling, many of our clients also choose to spend much of the day just relaxing and enjoying the pristine beach. The island has a lovely restaurant and a spacious lounge area equipped with free Wi-Fi. So, if you need some time out of the sun, relax in the lounge and chat with your friends and loved ones online.

A good lunch at the restaurant is included in the cost of our Mahmya Island snorkeling trips. The restaurant has a very good reputation, especially concerning their seafood and Italian specialties. There is also a nice and well-equipped bar on the island, should you want a few drinks during your stay. For children, there is an aqua-trampoline area as well to help keep them amused.

There are just over 40 renowned dive sites located in the waters around Hurghada. No less than 14 of these are found in the Giftun Island National Park. When you return home, you really do have the right to tell people that you have snorkeled at some of the world’s finest dive sites.

At the appropriate time which will have been confirmed with you, you will need to make your way back to the meet point. You will then once again board a small boat that will ferry you to your yacht. Once all passengers are back on board the yacht, it will depart. Enjoy a leisurely cruise back to the marina with lifelong memories guaranteed.

On arrival at the marina, our tour representative will be waiting for you. You will then be driven back to your hotel, and your Mahmya Island Snorkeling trip will be over.
