Jordan Tours from Singapore

Let’s take a look at some of the most common questions people have about traveling to Jordan from Singapore, and/or visiting Jordan as a holder of a Singaporean passport:

Are There Any Special Passport Requirements?

Are there any special passport requirements you need to be aware of before booking any Jordan tours from Singapore? Yes, but it is the exact same requirement you will encounter when visiting almost any other country in the world. You have to be traveling on a valid passport, and it must have at least 6 months validity remaining as from the date of your arrival in Jordan.

However, at Egypt Tours Plus we recommend that your passport should be valid for at least 6 months as from your intended date of departure from Jordan rather than your date of arrival. Some visitors have reported that some immigration officials in Jordan also insist on this. As such, it is better to play it safe rather than risk being forced to return home before you have even set foot in the country.

Do I Need a Visa for Jordan Tours from Singapore?

Citizens of the following countries who are living or working in Singapore can visit Jordan without a visa providing they are in possession of a valid passport from their respective countries:

United Arab Emirates; Saudi Arabia; Qatar; Bahrain; Oman; Kuwait; Lebanon; Tunisia; Turkey; Israel; Palestinian Authority, and Egypt.

All other nationalities require a visa in order to enjoy Jordan tours from Singapore. Some nationalities are required to obtain a visa from a Jordanian embassy or consular office prior to traveling to Jordan, while other nationalities can obtain a Visa on Arrival when they arrive in the country.

Singapore is one of more than 120 “non-restricted” countries, which means that anyone traveling on a Singaporean passport can obtain a Visa-on-Arrival in Jordan. These visas are, however, only issued at Queen Alia International Airport; Aqaba Airport, and the Sheikh Hussein Border Crossing.

NOTE: At the time of writing, these visas were not being issued at the Wadi Araba Crossing.

Jordan Visa-on-Arrival costs 40 JD and it is a single-entry visa which is valid for up to 30 days. Anyone who intends booking Jordan tours from Singapore that also feature a visit to Israel is strongly advised to apply for a multiple-entry visa prior to travel. This is yet another reason why you should only ever book Jordan tours from Singapore through a reputable and well-established Middle East tour operator, and especially if you are booking multi-destination Middle East tours.

A well-experienced tour operator can really be invaluable when it comes to things such as visas and visa requirements. Long established and professionally run tour companies usually have travel agreements with their counterparts in all the different countries they include in their tours and this can often play into your favor.

Waiving of Entry Visa Fees

If you are traveling on a Singaporean passport or a passport of any other non-restricted country, you can, under certain conditions, enjoy Jordan tours from Singapore without having to pay any entry visa fees. For example, if you purchase a Jordan Pass before you travel to Jordan, your visa fees will be waived, and your Jordan Pass will give you additional perks as well, such as free entry to the ancient Lost City of Petra as well as to more than 40 other Jordan tourist attractions. However, in order to have your entry visa fees waived, you must be staying in Jordan for at least 3 consecutive nights.

Entry visa fees can also be waived if you are visiting Jordan as part of a group tour. In this case, there must be a minimum of 5 people in your group; all members of the group must be staying in Jordan for at least 2 consecutive nights (3 days), and your group must be traveling with a Jordan approved tour operator/guide.
