Fayoum Oasis Tour from Cairo Itinerary

On the day of your Fayoum Oasis tour, our tour representative will meet you at your hotel in Cairo, and he will then escort you to the Fayoum Oasis which is located approximately 95 kilometers away from Cairo.

On arrival at the oasis you will first stop at an area known as Wadi el Rayan which has been a protected area since 1989.

You will also visit another protected area known as Wadi Hitan, which is also called Valley of the Whales. Located roughly 90km from Fayoum, Valley of the Whales got its name due to the fact that the area is home to a number of 40 million-year-old whale skeletons. From here, you will be taken to see Egypt’s only waterfalls.

Finally, you will enjoy a visit to Medinet Madi, the remains of an ancient city which was built during the reign of Amenemhet II and later completed during the reign of Amenemhet IV.

After your Fayoum Oasis tour, you will be taken for lunch at a nice local restaurant, and then you will be driven back to your hotel in Cairo.
